Couldn't agree more. Creativity obviously is an issue but it's compounded by having a 4ft Gnome playing up front. I love AA on the left, he's great, but it's night and day with him playing there Vs no9

I don't understand why we've reverted to a 3 at the back having not done it in preseason though, I'd like to understand why we're suddenly doing it. I agree we looked shite in both formations but I think we looked marginally better in a 4 and less overrun in midfield. I also don't love a defensive line up when you're at home especially against Wrexham...(Or anyone really if we're meant to be league favourites). It's all a bit of a mess that Still hasn't sorted out despite a full pre season. And I think that's everyone's issue... That and fucking playing AA as a sole no 9

Got two, 1 yard, tap ins in his first two games, and fell over twice. He's never been a goal scorer and nothing to suggest he's suddenly going to become one. He's looking like a Carillo MK2. His service is dog shit, but I think Stewart, as awful as he is also, is probably the better bet. But fuck me it's a terrible field to choose from. I think if you play AA on the left with either of the two above you might get a better tune, but it's not gonna be enough so gotta hope you're getting goals from the rest of the squad 😬

I'm splitting hairs but that was the 5th game in. We were better in the games in the run up to that drawing 1 and winning 3. But that's besides my overriding point and that this is still shit football. And Still isn't helping himself.

He has a say in recruitment anyone thinking otherwise is too wrapped up in the spreadsheet nonsense. He's not the single and sole decider but he has a significant say. It's too early, sure. But he needs to figure out a better line up and formation, and stop making life difficult on himself by playing a terrible formation (not having wingers isn't an excuse) with terrible personnel in those positions. AA has never ever been a good sole number 9, yet here is week in and out doing the sum of fuck all to advance our attacking capabilities. Also I think anyone expecting us to sign 4 or 5 players in the remaining window (which is what we need) is going to be disappointed. It'll be a bunch of duds. Still, thank fuck we got Roerslev.

This is part of the insanity though; we had - out on the left. So we thought, nah fuck that, tougher league, cleverer opposition, he's never been prolific before, lets start him as an actual number 9 instead. One of just a number of bonkers decisions. Will echo Badgers comments above though, in that SR aren't really the issue, in fact we might (further down the road) be better with them than without (money, multi club model etc), but it's been the decisions of those that they have chosen to trust, to make sensible footballing decisions, that has been the issue. Sure, that is partially their fault but they aren't footballing people, that's what they thought they were bringing in. That's another error. Hopefully we are starting to correct that with new appointments, though reports that we are STILL looking at cheap Championship options (Ollie Tanner - really!?!), which is basically what we have anyway throughout the squad, suggests some muppets still have too much control.
