  1. Checking in, have we signed a number 9?
  2. This. We could play for 3 weeks against 4 players and still not score. I generally think the back unit, minus Shoe-HornbJack, are ok with a new GK, but we've needed a new no 9 for seasons. Here we are. We won't be up for long.
  3. Love this move, good player and vital to the way we play. Happy with that. Goals next, please.
  4. Noice. Great start. Get some Beef Wellington in. And some goals.
  5. This. This is my opinion of him, third choice, fine but never as a first choice option.
  6. This is the issue with trying to act clever without having all the context (insert sarcastic rolley eye thing here). I asked, in lieu of actual signings, who in our midfield currently provides enough creativity noting that so far (at the point I made the comment) we had signed Lallana and our targets didn't really set the world heart/were old as fuck and hadn't been good for years. Besides, I wasn't even addressing you.
  7. Could you please elaborate? Because my thoughts are that we don't have a decent CB pairing. I have never felt Bednarek was prem quality, and I don't think Stephens is Championship quality let alone a worthy backup. Midfield creativity is also an issue for me. Where do you think it's coming from? Genuine questions, not argument baiting.
  8. Or alternatively our first team or squad isn't good enough to compete in the premiership and buying old, shite like Lallana and Ings isn't going to help that when we already have a shite Left Back, questionable CB, no CB cover (no Stephens isn't good enough), no creative midfielder, no real options on the wing, no striker who can score goals outside of the championship, no back-up striker. Oh and I forgot to mention we need a GK as well because our first choice is our second choice, and our first choice is both injured and statistically the worst in the division below. Genuinely, not trying to start an argument with you either, and I agree with squad togetherness etc is important, but my God we need some players and those that are being touted, and some that are here already, aren't the answer.
  9. If free then fine. I wouldn't be wasting money on another aging, and very average pro though.
  10. Permanently. Useless fuck and always has been.
  11. It's not hard is it. Anyone sounded the shoe-horn claxon yet?
  12. I mean it's fucking obvious to everyone on here isn't it, in fact everyone is unified for a fucking change, but he seems to want to shoe-horn shit in just because. Utter tit.
  13. Brooks is some player. Not sure why anyone on here thinks otherwise.
  14. Lovely regain, and credit to Martin for those subs, they were the right ones at the right time. Not an easy place to go and we limited them to very little.
  15. Not sure if this is a sarcasm or not but either way I'm absolutely gutted there isn't an option to buy Brooks at season end. It's 3 assists in not even 2 games. He's an actual touch of class and an effortless footballer. Let's also be clear, until he invoked his inner Zidane, Rothwell HAD been anonymous. He certainly turned that around in style but until that point I wasn't quite sure what position he was bought in to play.
  16. What's that, 3 assists in 2 games for Brooks?
  17. Fuck that, lets flip those top two spots
  18. But which end?
  19. The mad, mad thing was, that when he did put in a truly great performance against Man City, in the cup (regardless of their performance and selection), he never selected that same line up again 🤣🤣🤣
  20. Bloody brilliant showing, now what do we all want for Monday? For balance, I hated watching us 2 months ago. I genuinely enjoy it now, we play forward thinking, possession football, not laborious possession hunting for stats. A credit to Martin because I don't actually mind much who's in the team at the moment and I only think a few are absolute requirements (THB, AA, Downes, KWP). To that point, I thought the substitute of THB let them back into the game somewhat, though I don't think we were fully in danger at any point... That said Bazunu made a couple of important saves, both from Stephens's errors, who was, for me a weak link today even with the limited time he had. I Think Smallbone deserved his MOTM as well though you could make an argument for a few. That said he's making the 'late run from midfield' a bit of a thing which is great to see. Notable turnaround in form from Manning as well though he's still the weakest of the back 4 by some margin. Either way, lovely job. Let's not lose again and win the league. Yeah fuck it, I said it 😁
  21. It surely didn't get attributed to him, did it? Can't be arsed to look it up
  22. Can an opinion be inaccurate?
  23. "Nathan Redmond" - Top reporting.
