Not Mitchell? Is this just an anecdote? The usual rule is any ip developed on company property in company time is owned by the company if I remember right?
-
No, I also didn't know who Paul was until last week but I was aware of his results.
-
He worked for us and MK that's it. I imagine half the scouts in the prem have more of a top flight pedigree, perhaps we can tempt someone from Celtic or the Dutch league. Celtic have a great success rate (I'd argue, far superior to ours) and the Dutch are famed for their talent spotting and would quite possibly enjoy working with Koeman.
-
Oh well, there are scouts out there with a much better pedigree. We had a good hit rate (despite our large profile flops) but I'm sure we can find a very good substitute.

I see the sun have valued Morgan at a staggering 15million. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/6086060/Mauricio-Pochettino-still-chasing-his-Saints.html For those of you who don't subscribe. http://www.caughtoffside.com/2014/11/13/tottenham-manager-mauricio-pochettino-lines-up-ambitious-35m-transfer-raid/

This was my immediate thought as well. Short of the manager or chairman, why is the movement of backroom staff national news?
-
The funny thing is head of recruitment at Tottenham is probably an awful job to have. Commoli came out a couple of days ago and said that they have basically dismantled their scouting network and we know Levi never signs identified targets anyway because he refuses to offer any money. Mitchell would basically be a one man scouting team if what Commoli says is true (I acknowledge he may be quite biased). http://talksport.com/football/exclusive-tottenhams-scouting-network-joke-around-world-claims-comolli-141110123688

I'm pretty sure we couldn't stop him if he wanted to leave, not many people turn down a job that pays more.
-
I disagree, 11 games in and Shaw has had one good game (last weekend) whereas Ryan has had 11. Shaw has not been brilliant this season, there have been flashes sure but Baines is first choice anyway and as an understudy I would argue for Ryan.
-
Will he ever play for England again? He sounds gutted he didn't get the call up and is unfortunately behind the free scoring Baines and flavour of the month Shaw in a position that England (shockingly) are quite strong in. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/what-does-it-take-to-be-picked-for-england-southampton-star-ryan-bertrand-confused-by-latest-roy-hodgson-snub-9852718.html

I don't think we can in all honesty. We will lose players, we always lose players.

FYI #20 per this list (and the first outside London). To be fair Southampton are the next outside London after Portsmouth. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_districts_by_population_density For the actual cities rather than districts, this list has Portsmouth above London. (Dec '13). https://thegeographist.wordpress.com/2013/12/03/100-largest-cities-by-population-density-united-kingdom/

The author really hates Wetherspoons.
-
No one tell Portsmouth, their support is all they have left, poor dears.
-
Where the hell do you work that's in the middle of all those clubs?
-
Apparently we are monitoring Veli Kavlak of Besiktas and the Austrian team fame. The 26 year old plays in an advanced midfield role although I can't say I know much about him. Maybe our resident Alpine dweller could tell us more?
-
The fool actually had more points at this stage last season than the current team despite not being given nearly as much to spend and a much more difficult start
-
Bugger off Wiggles, we never win when you start these things
-
CB Roger, I said CB
-
He also had a brilliant game last week. He will be England's first choice cb in 3 or 4 years assuming Roy doesn't ruin him. I'm all for schaudenfreude but Chambers is (like Shaw) a real talent that will come good for certain.
-
I don't think so, we paid what he was worth at the time and he has developed into someone worth a lot more (or 3 million if you believe Cardiff).
-
Ah good, the wife is doing the instagram dirty work again (Please God don't let Southampton be "home").
-
Problem is it's a very good strategy if we are there or there about for these teams to target our players in Jan. All these teams need good RBs and DMs and we have those but less financial clout. They can weaken us considerably and strengthen themselves by targeting our players with the added bonus if we don't release them it could unsettle players and hurt team spirit.

What... a... berk.
