If we did pay €12M then we’ve got the remaining accounting value of him so no loss (or gain) to go through this years accounts. It’s a wage off the books which is the positive, so frees up funds to go elsewhere.

It’s 10yrs ago FFS get over it. Imagine holding a grudge for that long over something that didn’t actually affect you personally.

Don’t we need a new U21 coach? Beyond possibility it might be Fonte with Lallana assisting?

Onana and Branthwaite will be sold as they will raise the most money for them and help from their FFP perspective. I think they will spend very little this summer and expect they will go down the free transfers and loans route as cheaper options.

Maybe we should take the Man Utd approach and expect the government to pay for it.

I guess on the stadium expansion front it’ll help bring more money into the club both on a commercial front and more fans into each game. The extra funds will then help enable more to be spent on the team etc. i would imagine we will want to stay up this season but then will start to look into this, given all the time it’ll take and to get approval etc it makes sense for this to be earlier in the 10yr plan than later

I suspect Dibbling, Meghoma, Ballard (once fit) and maybe Sam Amo will go out on loan next season for game time.

Think the play offs showed the importance of an experienced keeper. I hope we bring one in, even if just on a 1yr deal. Get rid of those who now won’t be good enough / didn’t want to be here and a rebuild can begin. Let’s not fool ourselves , the gap is huge and the squad will be a lot of strengthening

Blackburn and Hull have still got all four teams left to play. Coventry, Boro, Sunderland and ourselves all have 3 play too. There is going to be a lot of challenging games over the run in that’s for sure.
