I can see the appeal of an experienced manager of an ex pro who had a successful career. You want someone who the players will respect and see what it takes to make it. something the last two managers haven’t instilled in the players.

I work in finance and don’t agree with that at all. Promotions within are common and bring stability to a key area of the business.

The latest set of accounts are due with companies house by tomorrow (for year ending 30june22) The first under SR. It will be interesting to see if any cash injection was done as a loan or share capital. they won’t include the summer spending but still expecting them to show a loss, just depends how big a one.
