  1. Also, what the hell was he going on about? If you watch Newcastle’s goal, it was nothing to with pressing, whether by a super new reinvented method or otherwise. His whole team basically just stood and watched while Livramento strolled slowly through the middle of them and then picked an easy pass to put Willock in behind, straight through the centre halves who were miles apart. There wasn’t the slightest hint of a press. He’s chatting total shite.
  2. Remember when we had a manager who said he'd rather lose than play anything other than 'his way'? Thank god that sort of ego-centric madness sounds like it's a thing of the past
  3. Goal difference now the only thing keeping Spurs out of the relegation zone Love it
  4. That's hilarious about the parachute payments Presumably after their inevitable crushing relegation next season they'll refuse to accept them because otherwise it simply wouldn't be fair on everyone else
  5. Superb result. Discipline, shape and fight throughout. Match-winning stuff by Peretz. Well done lads.
  6. It would be useful if Swansea could turn Wrexham over tonight, or at least get something out of that game. If Swansea could get a win they'd go above us by a point, but we'd have two games in hand on them. Obviously we need to win our games first and foremost or it's all academic, but the table will look a lot more attractive ahead of tomorrow's game if Wrexham don't win tonight. I think they will though - Hull defeat aside they've been in good form and they were excellent against Chelsea.
  7. You can be brilliant at football and incredibly fit and still be a snidey wanker behind the scenes Proof: me
  8. I know for a fact that @Tom57's brother's mate said he heard it from a contact of Will Still who reckoned Will Still told him that he'd heard it from Damion Downs about Armstrong And that's good enough for me STRING HIM UP
  9. I for one am delighted I no longer have to watch a hologram in goal and a dwarf at centre forward. We look like a proper football team now, and that’s not a coincidence.
  10. Take solace that it's almost certainly his agent doing that, rather than him - very few players run their own accounts. Although they would normally OK it. If we don't go up and he got an offer from a team in a top league somewhere I wouldn't blame him if he wanted to go. He'll be 28 this year and this might be his one and only chance to get 3-4 years on a 'big league' contract and wage. Obviously I hope we go up and if we do I hope he stays with us. Love him a player and he also seems to be a top, top bloke based on how he behaves and everything we've seen and heard about him so far. Seems to have quite quickly become a talisman sort of figure and would love to see how he could do for us in the Prem if we get there.
  11. Yeah he did. The lad is 20, hadn't played in 4 months and he throws him into a weakened team, away at Atletico Madrid in the last 16 of the CL. Then he has a shocker so he subs him off after 16 minutes looking like he's about to have a breakdown, then blanks him when even the opposing fans felt sorry enough for him to give him a consolation clap on the way off. I'm sure treating a young player like that will really get the players behind him and galvanise the dressing room for their relegation fight Astonishing management
  12. As much as I hate Spurs, I genuinely feel sorry for the boy. That's the biggest mare I think I've ever seen a player have. Hard to watch someone's career get ended in real time.
  13. Both sides playing like neither wants to win it. Extra time has been appalling. I'd fancy us to have a decent chance against either of these as it stands.
  14. Running in on the blind side to kick someone from behind
  15. Tonda got that tactically spot on. Great shape, worked our nuts off, defended really well and always carried a threat so they couldn’t just camp out in our half. With better finishing we could have had a lot more. THB very good and deserved motm but having Peretz in goal makes such a massive difference. He’s never going to be perfect but he’s big, loud, brave, positive and tries to take the pressure off the defence whenever he can. You can see he has a great rapport with the defenders now and it spreads confidence throughout the side. Overall, thought we played it perfectly and thoroughly deserved the win. The support was fantastic as well, well done lads
  16. Liechtenstein's ladies unlucky not to get anything out of their trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
  17. This is worth noting also. This is the form table since the third week of the season: So Spurs haven't stumbled into relegation form, or been dragged into it off the back of injuries and some bad results since Christmas. They were shit last year, and then after a half decent start, since the third week of this season they've been the third worst team in the league. Worse than Forest, West Ham and Leeds. So they have been consistently shit for two seasons now, they have been in relegation form since September, and if they do down they will absolutely deserve it.
  18. We're talking Ryan Manning numbers here people
  19. BBD scores for Derby Six for the season now
  20. 1-3. FT. Hull looking a bit more catchable in 5th now. We're 7 points behind them, with a game in hand and superior goal difference. Not insurmountable with 33 points still to play for, but we'd have to maintain top form to have a chance and our remaining fixtures are tougher than theirs.
  21. Ahahahahahahaha Skate keeper has to do better with that
  22. Skates go 1-0 up with 2 minutes to go
  23. G'wan Mansfield! Inspired substitution from young Nigel Edit: Booooo
  24. Article about Tonda’s background and career, with some interesting insights into his approach and what he learned from working with the German national team: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2026/mar/07/tonda-eckert-southampton-championship-fulham-fa-cup-fifth-round
