  1. I'm going for 6-3 Saints. Long to get all six. Lest we forget:
  2. The one area we're obviously at risk is goalkeeper if anything happens to Fraser. Paul Robinson sounds like he might be available. 35, loads of experience, still got a few years in him and would be happy to sit on the bench. Would depend on wages of course but I'd rather have him as back-up than Gazza and not heard much about Cropper to know if he's ready if called upon. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/forgotten-keeper-robinson-ready-quit-blackburn-january-4049092#.VGtVSL7A7ow
  3. When I was eleven I was obsessed with playing as a team customised to look like Saints on Kick Off 2 on my Amiga. I always used to do a running commentary to myself under my breath during games and would deliberately do it with the same enunciation as Grant Coleman for extra realism.
  4. Relax. This is Spurs. Even if they get him, they'll find some innovative new way of completely ballsing it up so he becomes useless.
  5. Quite funny: http://www.theguardian.com/football/gallery/2014/oct/21/graziano-pelle-the-gallery-southampton
  6. Sportsnation HD is by far the best one I've tried. Only a few quid for the elite pass. Every game in very high quality, no pop-ups and no need to faff about with VPNs or extensions or any of that nonsense. If you're not very techy it's a great shout. And Willow the administrator is a nice fella who is always on hand to sort out any issues or questions.
  7. Holy crap! Pelle! :adore:
  8. fffuuukkkkkkkk yeahhhhh bertrand!!!!!
  9. Work your magic at HT Ron. Just need one and they should crumble.
  10. oooooh close from spider
  11. Conceding a worrying number of yellows - need to be careful
  12. If Mane can learn the offside rule he is going to be very dangerous in behind
  13. Wanyama immense in the middle
  14. Redknapp getting absolutely slaughtered lol
  15. Great start - look well up for it. Could be a big game for Mane
  16. Holy crap, pick that one out. Clynesque!
  17. Surely deserves his own song now. To the tune of Fog on the Tyne: Nathaniel Clyne is all mine all mine Nathaniel Clyne is all mine (worth watching if only for the vintage rapping performance from Gazza).
  18. Well as a Holloway-based Saint who lives surrounded by Gooners, that was fun. Massive save by Fraser in the first half just after we went 2-1 up. Meant we went into HT with the lead which was so important psychologically. Not much to add that hasn't already been said about a fantastic team performance but I thought Targett in particular was superb. Strong, confident, assured and just won everything. Looks like we've got another proper player there. Our fans were brilliant in a ground that just sucks the energy out of crowds, but my god the Arsenal support is poor. The Emirates may be pretty but I would hate to sit in a turgid atmosphere like that week in, week out. Liverpool at home in the next round please, and smash the twitch on Saturday. Happy days. COYR.
  19. Interesting from the Spurs forum... This is just something I want to share.. Someone I know who has very close links to the club reckon quite a few of the senior THFC players are not buying into MP technics but especially his training tactics..Apparently you need "2 hearts" to able to reach his desired levels of fitness but without much "thought" to the technical side of the game.. The Southampton players brought into it as they were either relatively unknown or most were young and hungry from their academy but even they had some issues with it ( the guy who they signed from Italy?) and shipped out.. And they're a bit tasty on their boards aren't they, jesus, and we think this place has got some nutters
  20. Lots already questioning his lack of a plan B and apparent lack of ability to change it when required. 65% possession but toothless up front and beaten by a lower level team. All sounds rather familiar. Excellent.
  21. Aaaand here they go, that didn't take long ... It is obviously really early in Pochs regime but today for me has put a big question mark on him with his team prep, selection and basic tactics and use of subs. He looked clueless on the sidelines today. I said before the season started that Poch could easily be sacked before 10 league games are played. Still would'nt suprise me. Please no more, Poch. Terrible match, no fight, no running. I was so excited by Poch, I've seen glimpses of good stuff, but I'm beginning to be completely unimpressed by him to be honest. Part of it is I don't agree with a lot of things he does, then what he does do fails pathetically which just reinforces the irritation he doesn't do what you wanted! Enjoying yourself Mauricio? http://www.glory-glory.co.uk/showthread.php/6853-***-OMT-Tottenham-Hotspur-v-West-Bromwich-Albion-***/
  22. The Faltering Fullback is decent and is about 10 mins walk away. Just round the corner from Finsbury Park tube.
  23. Out of interest, what device/ browser are you using? I've subscribed to Sportsnation HD and am on a Mac. Hardly any of the streams work for me and I've tried it on Chrome, Firefox and Safari, all with pop-ups disabled. I've tried to get both the Spurs and Everton games tonight, and neither would connect. I just get the page with Ronaldo on the left and the chat window on the right, with 'connecting' in the bottom left hand corner ad infinitum (on Chrome). Meanwhile I could get either of those games for free (albeit in shady quality) on goatd.net at the same time, so it's not like they weren't available. Any advice gratefully received...
  24. "I also have a boy. That comes in the afternoon to me, politely gives a hand." No wonder he always looks so relaxed.
  25. *Shudder* My god those were bleak times
