Demoralized them with the press and but for profligacy it would have been more Boruc 6 not much to do Shaw 7 not his best game but solid enough. Touch a bit off. Fonte 7.5 good defending and positioning Lovren 7.5 tidy as always Clyne 8 always a threat, worked tirelessly creating angles. Wanyama 9 bosses it and retained the ball. Schneiderlin 7.5 tidy enough position. Rodriguez 8 excellent direct running and unlucky finishing wise. Lallana 8.5 great skills and running serious danger all game. Ward-Prowse 8.5 excellent discipline and delivery covered clyne bombing on well. Lambert 8 took goal well looked lively and was involved in most good things. firstly it's a disgrace in parenting I would never leave my child alone. The fact they are high flyers means that the media portray them to be do gooders but they showed neglect end of story. It's also very possible the mother knows nothing about it. It could have been Gerry's turn first to check on the kids and an accident of sorts could have happened. Kate then goes up and she's gone. Wilshere has only scored two league goals. He glides about dribbling all day but no end product. I think lallana is as good as him. Cleverley similar lack if goals. I think he is worse than lallana. Walcott is a striker out of position on wing, Young has goal threat as does Milner. Other than them the English AM and wingers, goalscorers are going to have to step up fast else we are going to seriously struggle without lamps and Gerrard. Barkley is the only similar player to a young Gerrard or lamps we have goals wise. No one else looks to be able to arrive late or run from deep and ping a shot on target. Quality international striker. Sick of people saying over 30's are off limits. Chelsea won champs league with a few over 30's. van persie will be 30 this year, giggs still changing games at 40. In the same vain as 'If youre good enough your old enough' stands for youth players 'If you're good enough you're young enough' applies to senior players. The advances in sports science, conditioning and nutrition mean players are light years ahead of the players in the 80's and 90's who were deemed over the hill at 30+. Look at Pirlo, Nesta and Del Piero etc. The Italian physical makeup is one of longevity, high life expectancy etc. I certainly would be happy with a bid and think he would do a good job for us. However his presence in the CL in various games, his stature and fitness will be vital. He is what we missed at times last season, someone to put the fear of god in people. He will be our Diame/Toure/Tiote type player. a plyer of this type we did not have, he will facilitate our more attacking players being ultra creative. He is no slouch either!
