I think that I am very patient regarding transfer news and rarely express a view. As for BUttner I think it is more likely that we will regret not signing him than the player or Man U! I tend to think Fergie and co know what they are doing. Why can't we say we've bid for PHilips in response to Holloways interviews? As for Ramirez just a comment would be enough - 60 pages is ridiculous don't you think? Apart from NA's interviews which are hardly forthcoming there is an absence of real information. I know we've had the shiny cd's with our ST's but no fans forum on Solent or fan communication. I really think that communication is important If we struggle this approach won't work in my view.

Sorry why does making a comment regarding progress (or the collapse of negotiations) make any difference? It seems to me that the Ramirez and Philips deals are being played out in public by all except SFC. We're not in the football league where maybe this approach works and players will keep quiet. I'm not asking for intimate details but some sort of communication when things become complex and delayed. Let's be honest why couldn't NC explained exactly why we didn't sign Buttner, that we have made a bid for Philips, and an update re Ramirez when things became public knowledge?

I am very disappointed that we have not had any form of communication from the club regarding the Ramirez/Philips transfer fiasco! I do not see what benefit there has been in letting this carry on without any comment. What is wrong with saying we are still trying to complete a deal and explaining why there is a delay? I would just like some progress report either from NA or being leaked to the press. It's embarrassing to watch NA being interviewed lately, he obviously wants to answer questions but isnt allowed and I for one don't understand why not! This doesn't mean I want a running commentary but frankly 60 plus pages on one transfer suggests that fans are desperate for some communication from the club. Frankly I have spent literally hours reading through these threads and can say this situation is driving me mad.
