Just watching end of United v Everton, wife reading the paper suddenly looks at the TV and says he's a good ref that Howard as the camera followed Tim Howard clearing the ball. I said it was Tim Howard Everton's goalie not Howard Webb she said he was in black like a ref and had his name on his back! Random but priceless! COYR!

Interesting comparing statistics for the Reading game and West Ham / Brighton. Both us and West Ham had 18 attempts on goal, 12 on target. Brighton had more attempts on target (6) than Reading (5). We had more possession, more corners than West Ham did and Brighton had more than Reading. What does this tell us? There is not a lot of difference between winning 6-0 and losing 3-1, it proves that we need take more of our chances and either defend better or hope our final opponents are not as lethal as Reading when they get a chance. We usually finish clinically, defend better and teams don't take every chance presented to them a la Reading, If normal service resumes then there is every reason to think we will win all 3 and maybe the championship trophy as well so let's keep believing!!! Puncheon for me, he must be well rested and with a point to prove. Obviously who knows what's in his head, but he can be very dangerous and let's face it we've got to go for it today against a weakened Palace that are shipping goals at the moment. I am very nervous about it - which is good - after Reading won at WHU I was over confident as were the team I think. Now I think we need to roar them on, they need to play their hearts out, and cruicially we need some luck a la Leeds and Millwall not the sort of luck we had on Saturday. The other scary thing is the games are coming so close together we'll either be promoted or in the playoffs maybe after Peterborough next week!! Sunday morning and true to form they're off - Gully this, DeRidder that - from the usual bunch of posters and fans at the game.. Frankly regardless of individual performances the team needs unity, support and belief. Surely people our supporters back Nige and the team now don't they? Idiots texting Solent calling for Adkins to go - god help us!! Yesterday we very unfortunate not to win comfortably, 2 amazing strikes, and a keeper who performed way out of his skin stopped us getting the result. The team are very close to getting us over the line so we have to stay united and confident. Supporters need to stay with the team not spout all of this rubbish on here and at the games. We have Reading on Friday and whoever Nige picks they need our 100% backing not barracking!! If we stay together good things will happen and promotion is ours if not it could disappear..... Agree with you that we were very unlucky with both goals and their keeper played a blinder too! Just a little worried that we thought we were promoted before we kicked off against Blackpool, and now our luck has changed and confidence has been dented, Still glad we're playing tomorrow.
