Premier League Experience - Required or Overrated?
modern matron replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Exactly right we need more experienced prem players in the squad. I know Swansea and Norwich did great last season but that tends to be the exception also whilst not proposing the QPR approach they did stay up. So more experience to combine with hungry young players is my belief. -
Exactly! If he wants to join Everton they and him can sit it out Plus they can sell to raise cash while Jayrod stalls 7m is not a fortune in prem terms. On the other hand he may be about to join us!

Fellaini or Cahill to leave?
-
What a silly post! KD was outstanding last season and is a dead cert to start in the prem next season in my view. Jack Buckland is a novice who is one for the future not the present and as for Green he made lots more errors than KD as my hammers supporting brother would tell you! As for not controlling his box and yor other criticisms he played almost as a sweeper, and was key to us playing out from the back. I am not really surprised at the negativity in your post about a great goalkeeper and loyal servant as it seems fashionable to be over critical...

Chaplow seems to love it here so I'm not convinced he'll go and frankly I think he's a good player to keep still we'll see really hope Jay Rod joins us though! -
I remember going with my dad about 1963 cost him 12 and a half pence (2 and 6 old money) me less!

Yawn yawn good night zzzzzzzzz

That is sad. There are rumours all of the time - a lot made up on this forum - that folks like you get all excited about and also slag off the person starting the rumour. Frankly I'm more interested in the actual facts than - with respect - inane ramblings from gentleman like yourself. I would like to know occasionally what the chairman thinks - as I suspect would the majority of posters particularly if things weren't going so well!
-
Fair point, but regarding season ticket prices, there are eleven pages of posts suggest otherwise.....
-
It seems to me that the vast majority of forum members are not interested in what is fact or actually happening, but only having arguments about ridiculous rumours. Me I'd rather know more about what is really happening, and why, then give a response - hence let's hear from Nicola!
-
Sorry I don't agree, for example an explanation of why season tickets are going up would be good, and some backing of NA re DiMatteo rumours in the papers would have been welcome.
-
Considering the amazing achievement of successive promotions, all the rumours about NA, the stadium, transfers, season ticket prices and so on I am surprised there has been no staement/interview or similar to inform us of his thoughts on these issues and the future. I will add that I think the bloke is a legend and totally respect his part in our achievements, but if he has a fault it's hearing nothing from him for months and months. Thoughts?

So where did everyone end up after the Coventry game?

I live in a so called Reading area but a true Saint saw my shirt and slaughtered my Reading mates - easy 6 points, you're a plastic club etc - priceless!! -

That list is really funny £3.5 million should virtually buy all 7 of them! Surely you don't believe they're ALL better than Guly??? We really have come to the silly season!!! -
Would have thought it's in our interest to do it soon if we can get the go ahead. I though we had the stadium built so that it could be extended to 48,000 if required. The only issue I could see is potential traffic gridlock and oarking problems.

BUMP. Reading this makes me feel just a bit calmer. Diazepam thread.

73 hours away.

Fair p[oint! One thing is for sure the pitch/weather certainly helps Cove more than us, hopefully not enouigh to matter....
-
Maybe you're right, but it's a big ask to have to win your last game by 3 clear goals. I think that's added pressure. As for Hull who knows? They've got a very good defensive record and are unbeaten in 4......
-
Frankly I think they missed an opportunity to cut back the goal difference by sitting back when they were 2-1 up so we had to win Saturday if they win a tight game. Anyhow what makes you think with their defensive record and recent form think WHU will hammer them by a 3 goal margin? As for the Middlesborough game that's history now and I thought we were pretty unfortunate not to get a point...
