With all the families that have been effected by those with gambling addictions I am surprised the mods allow the encouragement of such a thing to occur on this forum.

It was actually the week before that we won 4-1 at QPR. After the Liverpool game we lost 2-1 at Old Trafford, we didn't actually win again for over a month after Liverpool, although when we did it was in style, a 6-3 win over Luton who were a top flight side back then.

How is this saints related? mods act FFS.

Gary Neville: The era of the gaffer is over (features lots of Les Reed)
Turkish replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
I'm sure the black box is currently analysing the data of whole host of mongboard posters, assessing their suitability for the role, plenty seem to know how the club should be run so they'll want to take advantage into this previously untapped pool of expertise. -
I expect Man United fans are all over the Red Cafe forum indignant that they'd rather have lost than have this extra game.

He wouldn't do that, he hates us so singles us out for criticism.
-
I hope we do to prove what an idiot he is.

Cortese did a lot of good but he wasn't the greatest man who ever lived like some people seem to think. He had many, many flaws, not least of all his ego and the fact he was a bully boy. That's the problem with people of low intellect, they see things as black and white, cannot praise when possible and criticise when nessasary, if you dont worship them you hate them. It's troubling that men on this forum, grown men seem so obsessed with a man in a sharp suit that they cannot bring themselves to criticise or accept any critiicsm of their hero. That are that obsessed with someone that doesn't even know they exist and if he were to even meet them would no doubt think they were a complete helmet anyway.

I remember when he was on the fringes of the first team and there was a bit of a clamour for him to start. Obviously this was before the days of mongboards but even then it pretty well know at 17 or so he was something special. Nichol said he wasn't ready and to be fair did a great job of bringing him through gradually, remember some great early performances from him, 4-0 v Leicester in the snow, 4-1 win v Man United in the cup, but IIRC correctly he didn't really become a regular until the late 80s two or three years after he initially got into the squad. Same as Shearer. he burst onto the scene with his hatrick against arsenal but after that he went a bit off the radar somewhat, was in and out of the side for a few seasons but with him IIRC no one really realised how good he was going to be like they did with Le Tiss. He really came of age under branfoot ironically, which was when he broke into the England squad and the big clubs started sniffing around. Again this was several years after his debut.

He's a great manager but not a miracle worker.
-
Post something about us having no intention of permanently signing this league one standard player anyway but we'll get a nice statement on the official site as to why not.
-
Doesn't he know we're on a downward curve?
-
So do you think the same about Frazer Forster? He couldn't get a game at Newcastle and was playing in the Scottish "please don't laugh" league. He must be s***e too, right?
-
Couldn't give a toss if you don't believe me, it's true.
-
I think you'll find Cortese nearly messed that one up. Tried bullying him into signing, playing hardball and generally being a bit of a knob. I believe he threw Corks agent out of the meeting, luckily Les was about to smooth things over.
-
Just imagine how wealthy we'd be of Cortese had made us some money rather than wasting it.
-
Les was here but had a backseat role as Cortese insisted on control of everything.
-
4 year deal wasn't it, so another 2 and half years to go. We won't even be able to give him away.
-
Yet you were frothing at the gash over graziano Pelle the other day, must have been his humour, right?
-
Like. Nathaniel Clyne actually works instead of red, red Clyne

I could do, got a great saints v QPR, Limoncello and Croatian air stewardess story from my time there drinking with Alessandro the owner of Il Maiale e fischietto but im sure Sue Whistle mentioned once she skis and lived in Italy so I'll bow to her superior knowledge on this one.

Also Ipswich on bbc

Just saw that, maybe he could be the striker we're lacking
-
We could do with a couple of injuries to Liverpools defence so Lovren has to play again, they're looking a bit too good for my liking lately.
