  1. One win in nine, fancy us to get anything V Everton and Chelsea? I don't. Fail to be Cardiff and its one in twelve. Adkins lost his job for less. People will say we've had a tough run and injuries but a few months ago people were saying there are no easy games, we were amazing, the squad was great and a top 6 finish was inevitable.
  2. Not sure what you're on about as usual. strawman
  3. No, he said he does it BEFORE that happens. 4 loses in 6 now. Remember Newcastle could have been better but MP messed the tactics up in the first half and had too make two half time substitutes to rectify things. He also keeps picking players that make the same mistakes, Hooliveld has cost us at least one goal in his last two matches, yet he plays whilst Corteses signing Yoshida sits on the bench. These things won't have gone unnoticed upstairs.
  4. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2378319/Southampton-chairman-Nicola-Cortese-People-thought-I-E-T-I-Ianded-Saints.html 'I don't want to lose 5 matches in a row before sacking the manager, I do it before that happens' 4 loses in 6.
  5. Yep, as a few of the 'trolls' have long said, our first XI will give anyone a good game, but beneath that there really isn't much. You need 18-20 players good enough to be first XI to compete for a top 6 spot over a season. For us to even have a chance of a finish In the top 6 at the moment, which some said was good enough last season, you'd need all XI players to stay fit and inform for the entire season, never going to happen.
  6. , is Clyne your new pin up boy now are struggling to defend lamberts form?
  7. Can I also add that Chambers can potentially be better. He's not a million miles away now at 18 so give him two or three years he could be even better than Clyne.
  8. If club history started in 2009 like some seem to think so then yes he is.
  9. Remind me a bit of the QPR away game last season. Both sides desperate or a win with both managers under pressure. Let's hope we get a positive outcome here too.
  10. Indeed. Like I said, given his claim that he didn't wait for 5 defeats in a row to happen before sacking a manger when defending Adkins dismissal you have to wonder if 4 defeats in 6 has made him preplan something else.
  11. So are you suggesting Cortese is a liar?
  12. According to some of the clappers it was good enough for 6th before we signed Lovren, Wanyama and Osvaldo.
  13. Cold, ruthless, does everything in order to progress........
  14. Just going by what out leader has said in the past, it's not looking good for MP at the moment based on that.
  15. Oh no my comedic genius chum, he does that before it happens, lose at Cardiff and the finger might be on the trigger....
  16. Well given this interview here it might not be long. 'I don't want to lose 5 games in a row before I sack the manager I do it before it happens' We've lost 4 in 6. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2378319/Southampton-chairman-Nicola-Cortese-People-thought-I-E-T-I-Ianded-Saints.html
  17. Here is the place to criticise. Here and on pubs. At the ground getting on players backs during games is not and something I've never understood.
  18. Plenty of people did just that in the championship. I remember several times saying I didn't rate Hoolivled and he was error prone. People said he was better than Fonte and when I pointed out that they didn't gel as a pair and that Fonte looked poorer because Hooliveld wasn't a good centre half I was told I was trolling. Hooliveld was a late window panic buy when we failed to land a number of our targets, we got away with it in the championship but it was pretty evident even then he wasn't up to the premier league. But people liked him because he clapped the fans, got a couple to goals and put a few funny things on twitter. Anyone that pointed out he wasn't a very good defender felt the fury of the forum.
  19. And that's our biggest problem isn't it.
