  1. SFC 2001-04 patented that strategy.
  2. The platform to catch the 'next level' train is pretty busy isn't it.
  3. If I was banned who would you stalk then? Last time I looked over 75% of your posts were about me or in response to me. I see you seem to be positioning yourself as some sort of mboard vigilante intent on trying to take out the dissenters, its quite sweet but very sad. What is also noticeable is that you've ignored my argument and points on here now and turned yet another thread into your crusade against me, bless you.
  4. It's post like this that the mods need to stamp out. No contribution to the discussion at all, just a totally unnessasary personal attack. And people want me banned.
  5. I seem to remember a while back you bragged that your posts were worth reading, I can assure you the comedy value of yours today have proven your arrogance was not misplaced.
  6. There also seems to be an imaginary cut off point where previous success becomes irrelevant, I'd love to know what year this is as it will help me hugely when deciding if Chelsea, Leeds, Liverpool and Everton are big clubs or tiny ones they had a golden period years ago which now means nothing.
  7. Yes and I don't care. HTH.
  8. They were massive in the 50s, 60s and 70s too. Had a bad time in the 80s due to hooliganism in no small part and have now recovered. Seriously, some of you lot have no idea what you're on about.
  9. Eh? If Leeds winning the title in the 70s means nothing now then why do Liverpools? Chelsea not a big club.
  10. They are irrelevant. HTH
  11. This is classic mongboardism from young garrett today. Good grief, just when you think you've seen it all on here.
  12. So our 76 cup final win means nothing then?
  13. Not really, once you reach your mid to late teens you start to lose that child like naivity and realise who the big clubs were and who aren't. Liverpool where the top team when I was growing up, in fact the big 5 them were considered to be Liverpool, Everton, Man U, arsenal and spurs. So the top 6-8 clubs havent really changed much in 30 years. Like I said above then, great news for us is if we can finish above spurs for 10 years and have a bit of success our perception amongst primary school age kids will be that we are bigger than them. Fantastic news.
  14. Okay okay, I think I'm getting it. So what you're saying is we need to consistently finish above Everton and Spurs AND challenge for honours AND have a run of sustained success and then a load of 11 year olds that are one year old now, might think we are bigger than them, yes?
  15. So your son must think we are tiny compared to say, Fulham, as they've consistently finished above us for the last decade and been one or two divisions higher for a lot of it.
  16. FACT. Times have changed and so has the ink and toner business, you need to adapt or be left behind.
  17. Millwall are a decent club at his level.
  18. Why? Its perfectly valid, its an example of a club finishing above another club, in fact being a league above the other club, winning honours yet still being considered smaller by most of the population. You're saying Its a poor analogy because it shows the claims that simply finishing above Spurs for a few years would automatically make us bigger than them the complete nonsense that they are and doesn't fit with the mega club arrogance sweeping this forum. If anything its a great analogy because it shows how huge the gap can be and still perceptions haven't changed. Yet you keep on making photocopier jibes on a lot of threads.
  19. That's what I like most about you pal, knowledgable, humorous and above all else, humble.
  20. No I'm not. Wigan won the FA cup, so in terms of trophies they've actually been more successful then even Everton and Spurs. So what you're saying is and correct me if I'm wrong, that one team finishing above another doesn't automatically mean they are 'bigger' than that club, there are other factors to take into account, yes? You have alluded to the FACT that most people consider Leeds a bigger club than Wigan despite being at least a division below and Wigan winning major honours in the last decade. Also love your little job dig which I know you like to slip in now and again, you really do believe I'm an ink and paper salesman don't you.
  21. Not really, the point which was clearly lost on you is that the claim was made that if saints finish above Everton and Spurs for a decade then people would consider us bigger than them. Well Wigan have finished above Leeds for a decade, so surely people must think Wigan are bigger than Them, or doesn't that apply in this case? Nice try sunshine but answer the point that was made not he one you've made up.
  22. Thanks mate, I enjoy your posts too, especially your ITK ones which prove you right time and time again.
  23. Do you consider Wigan to be a bigger club than Leeds?
  24. It isn't a superb post though is it, just stating a fact.
  25. And most sane people in the country would agree with him.
