The 10 game milestone we were told at the start of the season we should judge the team against. Bottom of the league, record goals conceded. And the weaknesses some of us warned against and told we were wrong evident to see. Pretty poor really.

Didn't people say at the start of the season that we should be judged after 10 games? Well here we are witha tough away game tomorrow night, bottom of the league, a record high goals conceded at this stage of the season and with a team and manager lacking experience and quality. it's easy to say that we are going to get better, but I don't see any signs of it or who at the club has got the magic wand that is going to turn championship level players into premier league ones. It does make me laugh how poor and limited everyone says Vlla, Norwich, QPR and Reading are, yet they are all above us in the league and the blind belief that we are suddenly going to improve and string a run of wins together out of no where which the teams currently above us are Apparantly not capable of doing.

I'll tell you what though. I'm glad we haven't got any premier league experience in the club. Just imagine how much worse we'd be doing if we had a few experienced players who have played at this level before and know what it's all about. We'd be really in trouble if we had them, thank god we didn't need any premier league experienced players

I'm with Alps on this. I dont like the premier league. There is only any point being in it of youre competitive and we aren't. We've spent £30m to have a side which is still one of the worst in the division and had the embarasing talk of Europe preseason. How utterly naive and stupid does that seem now? Not to some o us of course who said this at the time but were told we were wrong and with a good academy and manager which were already here we'd be fine. How is it workig out?

Exactly Jamie. who was it who said if we win three games in a row we'd fine? He is clearly mental and obviously forgotten we've only one won all season as have most of the bottom 6 and that we have conceded at 3 goals in every away game in the league this season. It was hilarious how people were slating Villa and norwich last week yet they are 5 points clear of us with a goal difference worth a point as well.

The same goes for incoming players as well though. That's why I'm not pinning my hopes on players we needed coming in then as well. Still, at least we can be grateful we've got a chairman that doesn't get pushed around by other clubs or pay over the odds.

There will be no point getting rid of Adkins unless he is replaced by an experienced manager who is allowed to manage his way. Reed and Cortese keep their noses out and let him get on with it. Can you imagine any decent manager wanting to report into and being told what to do by Les Friggin Reed? The man was sacked by the FA and voted the worst manager in Charltons history and joined us from Bishops Stortford!! All we'll get is another rookie, who will need to 'learn' the premier league like Adkins has too. We'll no doubt be told we will be getting a top manager and loads of experienced men applied for the role but Giseppe Del Rosso currently manager of FC Sorrento and has lead them to promotion into Serie B was by far the best candidate who shared the long term vision of the directors.

Its going to take more than a change of manager to keep us. Unless Reed and Cortese wind their necks in no experienced manager will come within a mile of the club.
