  1. Im in the Kingsland North and thought it was pretty good. As you say after Readings no moaning, everyone getting behind the team.
  2. We are definitely missing an attacking player who can come on and influence the game. De Ridder did okay last night but too often does very little. We dont have a player like Le Fondre who can give us that little spark when our backs are against the wall or need a goal.
  3. Lets be honest, we've got 4 players who can play on the right of midfield in Guly, Chaplow, Puncheon and De Ridder, yet not one of them has made the position their own. Guly has probably been the most effective over the season.
  4. And the winners against Leeds and Millwall, to name but two off the top of my head. It matters because Le Fondre has consistantly come on as an effective option off the bench and won them points. How many of our players have done that? De Ridder with his equaliser against Reading maybe. Lee might have been that man but he's injured. Most of our substitutes happen when we are in control of the game. Did you honestly look at our bench last night and think we've got someone who can come on with 20 minutes to go and win us the game? PS, i dont think Guly is useless BTW.
  5. a guy i used to work with asked his missus 5 times before she said yes, the reason she said no 4 times was because she wasn't sure she could stay faithful to him, she told him this as well. An utter mug.
  6. This post is the most surprising of all. As someone who was played semi professional football as a striker i'd have thought you'd be able to spot a quality finisher.
  7. Have any of them come of the bench and won the game for us like he has done for them against Millwall, Leeds and Saints?
  8. :lol::lol::lol::lol:
  9. As usual sir you've called it right. Our fans hero worship Fonte because he dropped down a division to join us and looked class in league one. As for jos, yes he's been decent but not great. In reality neither have been that much this season. I always look at a how solid a defence Is when it under pressure and can any saints fan honestly say we'd have won tonight if we'd got the battering Reading got? People might point to the Leeds game but that was more awful finishing and great goal keeping rather than a tremendous defensive display. It's easy to be a great defender when your team has 60% possession and wins 3-0. Can anyone honestly say we've won a game this season because we've defended brilliantly and caught a team on the break with clinical finishing? Because I can't
  10. Turn it in FFS. Some of you weirdos need to get a grip. ReadinG brought a mob, deal with it, that's football.
  11. It was the wrong substituIon. We had just scored and had the moment, yet again what did De Ridder do?
  12. Yes of course it can be done. But only Man U and Barcelona have done it. I'm sure someone will tell me soon They said man will never climb Everest.
  13. No but all of the best ones are. Look at the England squad for the Holland game Only 4 from clubs outside of United, Chelsea, city, arsenal, spurs & Liverpool. two of these were goal keepers due to Englands failure to consistently produce one that is any bloody good. As for Norwich, great example, let's model ourselves on Norwich.
  14. So actually the vision is nothing new. Sell the good ones like the Bridge, keep the okay one like Oakley, but this time don't spunk the money away on paying off managers and radio stations, but sign other players that don't come from the academy, that seems to be what our saying yes?
  15. To fair a tattoo on a a woman's arm always looks great with a vest top, gold chain and massive fat arms.
  16. Bug*er.
  17. Oh give it a rest you freak, it's just a bit of light hearted fun.
  18. I love it when people use Wayne Bridge as an example of how it all goes wrong. Yes it's gone a bit sour for him now But let's not forget he played in a cup final for His team, us. He then went onto play in the champions league, Win FA cups, league titles and league cups with Chelsea and played 30 odd times for England and was paid a shed load more than Saints could offer for the privildge. I'm sure he wishes he never left Saints.
  19. Sorry, maybe I'm not getting it. I thought the reason everyone is wetting themselves at this article is that we are actually going to try and keep these players and fulfil the vision of a team full of graduates playing in the champions league. I'm not saying its the wrong thing to do,it's very much the right thing to do. But if anyone thinks England's best young players are going to ignore more money, bigger clubs and champions league football because they alway dreamt of playing for Southampton, you're going to be in for a disappointment.
  20. Utter ****** then.
  21. If being mugged off is some gobby Internet oddball claiming to meet you blut remain anonymous then I guess I have been.
  22. I am making a serious point. I dont think a club like Saints will ever build a team from their academy good enough to compete in the top half of the table. All the top young players will be picked off and whilst we might be able to keep hold of the matthew Oakleys of this world i think it's going to be very difficult to build a successful team compromising of academy players. The fact that no one else has managed to do it suggests the probability of it is highly unlikely
  23. When was this and why didn't you say who you were?
  24. So do you think Barcelona are playing their players in club shop vouchers and panini stickers?
