I don't disagree with what you say. But let's assume we are a championship side next season. Wouldn't you love to have another crack at them at Frattton Park and do them easily on their own patch! Turn them over 3 or 4 nil? IMO it would almost be worth bpdelaying promotion for to do that.

Assuming we don't go up this season of course which given our resurgence in form is looking quite hopeful. For me I'd hate to see Forest go. A club as close to Saints as there is. Traditionally a good footballing side with a great manager who enabled them to punch weight above their weight in the late 70s And early 80s. I'd l love to see Forest up there competing with us for promotion not struggling, a great club. I actually don't want Pomoey to go down either, I want them to suffer and struggle but i want them to stay up and hopefully give us the chance to go down there and iron them out easily next season, if we don't go up of course. I feel sorry for Leeds fans. They are in reality what Pompey think they are. A massive club with a huge loyal fan base steeped in history who have been run by a succession of idiots. Their fall from grace was even sharper than ours. You'd think given their fan base and potential they'd be the ideal club for a foreign billionaire to invest in and try to restore former glories, all they got was Ken Bates trying to build a hotel on club ground.

I don't feel that our prices are unreasonable at the moment. £500 for a season ticket isn't too bad for 23 games, even though compared to Europe it's a lot of money. I do have a figure in my mind though I won't go over, if we start being charged £40 plusor premier league football I won't be going and I won't be getting a season ticket. It's all about supply and demand, if SFC sell out every week at £32, the prices will go up to £35, sell out at that they'll go up again and keep going up until they aren't turning fans away every week. Unlike some on here, I don't believe that the chairman willspend £30m to expand the stadium, keep price at £25 and give the unsold ones away for nothing if we can't sell out, all because he's a great guy and loves then fans.

This is the forum that bangs on and on and on and on about potential, how we are in a great position, something about new financial rules meaning we can soar above historically bigger clubs and claim our rightful place in the champions league.
