I suspect it will be the usual case of a lot of bluster about tough sentancing, followed by lots of charges for minor offences with a few fall guys who will be taking the rap for the instigators who they couldn't catch. Unfortunately for most lads of this age the car you'd recomend aint gonna be the car they want. Things like Fiestas, Polos are good first cars. ANything low engine size, below 1.4 i'd recomend. Just have a look at the car groups, obviously the lower the group the the insurance. Think you're going to stuggle to get insurance below £1k though. I am 34, been driving for 16 years and recently had to get insurance as been on a company car for 2 years so lost my previous NCB, cheapest was £800 for car worth £500 FFS.
