according to one of the sunday wrags, cant remember which, Wenger has been told he has to win a trophy this season or it's Au reviour. As well as Downing, who IMO is massively overrated, he is also after Cahilll from Bolton and a left back, think he has higher priorites this summer than Chamberlain, hopefully.
-
Just ask him if he's ever been in the audience of Question Time, that will give you immediate qudos and put them on the backfoot, bowing to your superior worldy wisdom and insight.

You are forgetting that this is the forum which said Lambert should play for England and was better than Fernando Torres only 12 months ago.
-
And look a bit closer to home, our very own MLT was head and shoulders above the players around him and scored 20 odd goals a season from midfield whilst playing alongside footballing greats like David Lee and Craig Maskell. His contribution was slightly more than "the odd individual action negated by the insufficences of others" On another note, why do people assume players will thrive and get more time on the ball in the league above the one we have just played in? Defenders at this level are better. Better tacklers, better headers, better markers, quicker etc, thats why they are playing a better standard of football. Quite why people are assuming all our attackers are going to find it so much easier next season is beyond me.

never mind what you say, just make sure you are wearing some fetching wrist bands.

Because i am interested to know how someone at the age of 14, can have such an indepth appreciation of music c2004/05 when they would have been 12 & 13 to describe a fine debut album in early 06 as a "breath of fresh air". What were you into around that time? Just out of interest like.
-
I agree Mickey honey, but whilst their first album was great, the rest whilst not being as good had some great songs on them. Just a question on their first album was superb, however, you must have been about 12 or 13 when it came out, 2005 iirc, for you it was a breath of fresh air from what?

Saint j 77, i can see that you dont use this place much, not may posts in 5 years, so word of advise, always remember that this place is serious business. There is no room for light heartedness on here. Stick to this and you'll be a forum superstar in no time at all. -
Yeah, silly thing to do when when you've just agreed a £10k a week contract. Hey ho, his loss.
-
I heard he had signed but stormed back into Cortese office and ripped up the contract after discovering he was charged £1 to park when he came to SMS to complete the deal.
-
A ginger? FFs that's all we need. What with the sales manager quitting, car parking charges and slow replies to emails we are now signing a f*cking ginger. Whatever next FFs.
-
I take it a lot on here aren't AM fans then, that comes as no surprise. When i say mainstream about Coldplay i meant bland, dull, middle class dinner party music. One to many vino biancos last night.

The song is easy. We adapt the Orange men song "the sash my father wore" this is appropriate as the orginal SFC and reason for our struggle wore a sash. I've written a few lyrics. Sure i am a S'ITTER man From Southampton i came To see my Southampton brethren of honour and of fame And to tell them of my forefathers Who fought in days of yore, That I might have the right to wear, The sash my father wore! It is old, but it is beautiful, And its colors they are fine It was worn in all over Southamptonshire this famous sash is mine My father wore it as a youth In bygone days of yore And everyday I love to wear The sash my father wore. I'd also like to see a statue, the same as the the one of Christ the Reedemer which over looks Rio placed on the corner of Ventor in Southamptonshire with Cortese face on it, arms outstreached, overlooking and embracing the whole of SOuthamptonshire. When people fly over or sail into our region they will know they are entering a special but dangerous place. Imagine how good this would look if it was ours overlooking Southamptonshire, p*sses all over the tower in Skatesmouth.

It really wasn't. Read it again, he is just saying what was said on the UI. He even says he doesn't nessasarily believe it. Three guesses as to who the poster was on the UI speculating. -
This is what makes me laugh. Fans want their cake and eat. They want us to spunk millions on players, want us to get promotion and keep all our best players whilst developing the academy, training ground expanding the stadium etc so we can become the new Barcelona, but dont want the club to go into debt by doing. So where exactly is the money going to come from? All the *****ing about paying a £1 to park is pathetic. If you dont want to pay it park in the streets around the ground, get the bus, walk, cycle FFS.

FFS who cares. Man leaves job. It happens everyday. He is on linkedin, if you're that bothered sign up if you're not on there already and send him a message asking him. -
Some very good ideas Um, i am sure under Nickys guidance all these things are possible. In fact some of this is already work in progress. With regard to points 1-3, these are easily covered. We just get Cortese to stand on Hamble waterfront, raise his hand and part the solent, in the same way Moses parted the Red Sea, this would join us to the Isle of WIght and at the same time the retracting water would take care of wiping Bournemouth & Portsmouth off the face of the earth. We could build our new 200,000 capacity stadium on the land that has become available by the parting of the solent. Points 4 & 6 are also work in progress. We have a fine Yoof army already developing and are well on the way to being the new Millwall off the pitch. With a bit of support from the club we could arrange to fight for our independance, i am sure they would love it. We could also get them recruiting from their local areas and create other divisions within the ****TERS and send them on covert operations to expand the ****TERS fearsome reputation and gain our inependance. We could have the Thornhill & Woolston Active Terror Squad, Weston And Northam Krew, Midanbury Urban Guerilla Squad and the Fawley Urban Chaos Krew. We can become a club and a region with a fearsome reputation. We will not rest until we are the province of Southampton. Point 5 - thank god for this forum, we can have a "speculation on the new flag" thread, which will give The9 and his ilk something to do. All this is entitely possible. We are Southampton, we do what we want.

Things were so much better under Lowe and Wilde weren't they. Got emails back straight away, no paying for parking in the club car park, the website was better, we sold more advertising and corporate seats, our sales and marketing managers didn't last 5 minutes. I want to return to those halcyon days when SFC's customer service experience was second to none. We even had a club radio station to get information from, this would never happen under Cortese ffs.

OMG OMG OMG!!! JUst after we sign Jack Cork the feel good factor has well and truely gone now with someone from the office leaving the club. I cant believe this hammer blow to our promotion prospects when everything looked so rosey. FFS Cortese. -
But, but, but. What about our catchment area? The fact we have no other clubs for competition around us, like Bolton, Fulham and Stoke do? What about Corteses vision? We have a catchment area of 1.7m, we only need 10% of those to become Saints members and we will have more than Barcelona. At my work in Reading there are 5 Saints fans in around 100 staff, this proves we are already the club 5% of the world supports. ANYTHING is possible, didn't they once man would never get on the moon?
-
This would fit with us being the new Barcelona.
-
I wouldn't expect you to understand.
-
I rest my case
-
Anyone see this? F-ck off coldplay with your mainstream nonsense, that is how to smash it. Awesome

OMG, a bird in charge of the ticket office. No wonder there were so many ridiculous ticketing decisions last season. Women + football = wrong Women + football + business + decision making = cocktail for disaster.
