I am Alpine Saint, i never said that, people are twisting my words and i never said that, i never said that a Saints player was out injured for the season, people have accused me of all sorts of things but they are wrong, i am not like that and people should stop twisting my words.
-
Okay okay, you did not use the words 'a saints player is out for the season injured' but if the following is not what you said then i am sorry, you did not say or imply that a saints player is out injured for the season. Alpine saints "If Lampard, Drogba, Fabregas or Torres suffered a season-ending injury at this stage, their respective clubs would go out and pay big money for someone." Turkish "'has this happened to any of ours then?" Alpine Saint "Yep, you prove again there isnt much point discussing these matters with you." If that is NOT what was said in the conversation and this does NOT imply that a Saint player was out for the season and because i didn't know this you felt that there was no point discussing it with you, then i fully apologise. However, if that is what was said and it does imply this, then there is no shame in admitting you are wrong Alps, no shame at all. "It's not how many times you fall, it's how many times you get up"

You said if Drogba etc got a season long injury Chelsea etc would spend big to replace them. I said 'has this happened to any of ours then?' Your reply was Yep, you prove again there isnt much point discussing these matters with you. What bit of that makes me wrong?? Come on Alps, tell me, which bit of that is you NOT saying we had a player out for the season? Or are you proving, yet again, it's not worth discussing anything with you, as you aint got a f*cking clue.
-
Oh my god!!! You just get better!!:lol:
-
Err, yes you did...... So come on who is it?? I suggest you go back and READ
-
:lol::lol: Come on fella, you told me this morning we had a season long injury and i wasn't worth discussing points with. Threes times you've refused to tell me when asked who it is. ANd then have the nerve to accuse me of not having answers to your points!! You are something else fella!!! I'll tell you what, you answer me, as this was how our discussion started, then i'll tell you what i think the answer is. So come on then, who is our season long injury? Share it, i am dying to know......
-
If only we had guessed that they wouldn't be fit for one game during the summer and signed suitable back up...... But wait, what if they get injured too??? We need back up incase the back up becomes injured.
-
What i am struggling to understand is who this season long injury you said we had is, this is how this discussion between us started, is it not? So who is it? Do tell.
-
That would work for us, 5 across the middle with him top alone, provided all of the five midfielders and Barnard aren't injured of course, as we haven't signed back up incase the whole squad is injured.
-
Mental. so what point are you trying to make when you said if Drogba etc gets injured Chelsea etc would spend big for a replacement and we should do that now, in case Lambert gets injured? What point are you making when saying we dont have strengh in depth because we haven't spent big incase Lambert gets injured? This amazing strength in depth all this big clubs have is listed in my post above. None of the players are as good as considered first choice in that position, yet these clubs are not signing superstars incase players get injured, so why would we? Anyway, who is this player that is out for the season? You still haven't told me.
-
I agree, we have 3 very, very, very good strikers for this division and we should be able to adapt tactics as these two should be good enough for the L1 defences, Barnard proved that at Southend and Connolly is a class act here. Its Pardews job to come up with a plan B if RL is not available.
-
Any news on this player that is out for the season yet? Or is it still not worth discussing stuff with me? You keep banging on about strength in depth and how these massive clubs have superstars sitting around doing nothing in case injuries happen, but lets look at these big clubs squad players - is Ngog as good as Torres? Is Bentedner as good as Van Persie? Is Kalou as good as Drogba? Is Macheda as good as Rooney? I bet there isn't a div on 'Kop Talk' berating Benitez/Hodgson/the yanks for not signing David Villa as cover for Torres just in case he gets another injury. Get real you div.
-
who has had a season ending injury? Or did i imagine reading this this morning? Minus Frazer Richardson obviously... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/8337242.Saints_set_to_be_at_full_strength_for_Orient_visit/ So who is this mystery season long injury victim? or are you proving again there isn't much point discussing these matters with you?
-
Has this happened to one of ours then?
-
Spot on mate, people banging on about quality back up for Lambert and Schniderlin but these guys are two of our 5 key players. Chelsea without Drogba and Lampard, Arsenal without Fabregas and Van Perise, Liverpool with no Gerrard and Torres, all significantly weaker, i bet the Man Utd forums are not rife with people whinging that their back up striker to Rooney is not as good. Like you say, i'd welcome 2 or 3 new signings, but we already should have enough to win this league.
-
They said during the Man City game on saturday that he was set to join Notts Forest on loan last year when he was out of the picture. I can see that being more likely.
-
I'm dubious, his comments of f*cking morons, cannon fodder, privates being 'nailed' in afghan and thick and generally just being totally disrepectful seem to more than just a game of 'squaddie baiting' i think it might be more the fact that no one agreed and he made himself look a total c*nt rather than changing his stongly held views overnight.
-
I agree he'd be an excellent signing. What about Ronaldo? He isn't the player he once was and is now at Corinthians. Surely he'd love to finish his career (in the third tier) of a top European league. Whilst on the subjects of Brazilians, Kaka hasn't settled at Real, he is the right age to go on the full journey to the premier league with is.

In that case the courts have just sent out a message that it is okay to look at child porn.
-
My thoughts exactly, no one is saying there should be no punishment, but a fine, community services, maybe even just a three year football ban with the threat of something more severe if caught again would suffice. Most of these guys weren't know to the police as troublemakers, what it is is a good story for the echo, who absolutely loved it, headline news on 6 occasions now i believe and a few easy nickings and a bit redemptin for the police who IMO created a situation where this could have happened by letting both sets of fans out at the same time.
-
They couldn't all the pubs were shut. In anycase regardless of what they should have done, do you agree or not, that jail for shaking a fence and shouting is ridiculous? Particularly in consideration that the child porn guy was spared jail due to the effect on his business and the guy here was not.
-
Stephen Jordan, 49, of the same address, who pushed and pulled at the fencing, told police it seemed the good opportunity for “a toe to toe” fight. It was feared his business, which employed 14 people, would go under with a prison sentence. Michael Byles, 24, of Aldermoor Road, Southampton, handed himself after seeing his picture in the Daily Echo. He had been filmed grabbing the fence and shouting aggressively From the echo website, two jailed for grabbing or shaking a fence. One of which has a business, unlike the child porn businessman he was not spared jail due to this though. Although to be fair i would probably jail someone for 'folding a brick' they must be as strong as Sansom.

This, anyone who puts their life on the line for other deserves respect and a few concessions is a worthy token to them. The ones on here that seem to be against it are the snobby, usual suspects who seem to take delight at sneering at anyone they consider a lesser being with them. On this thread alone describing soilders as f*cking morons, thick and only joining up to play with guns. Even saying every country needs cannon fodder, what a shame we dont have compulsary national service anymore, i'd love to see people like this tell their commanding officers just what a f*cking moron they are.
-
Nottingham Forest did quite well last season with a few loan players and i believe they have loans this season also.

the bloke is a legend, not just a great player but a great bloke too, sport needs people like him.
