Do me a favour, you dont luckily finish fourth in the premier league above the likes of City, Liverpool and Villa. They have beaten Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City twice, you dont do that just by being lucky.

I miss him already, never even know anyone called Lancaster played for us.

Will never happen.

leg·end (ljnd) n. 1. a. An unverified story handed down from earlier times, especially one popularly believed to be historical. b. A body or collection of such stories. c. A romanticized or popularized myth of modern times. Note point C- if Stu romanticises he is a legend, then is his. Jog on the lot of you.

What commentator Derek Ferguson? He'd be a lot better at pre match entertainment than that other clown, or we could put him as Radio Solent commentator replacing Dave Saints need a second goal Merrington.
-
People class Benali and Marsden (why? he was only here three seasons) as legends, the title legend seems to be easily bestowed these days, wont be long before Stu and I are TSF legends.

Did i mention Svenson anywhere? I was reply to the previous poster about remembering the game, nothing to do with Svenson so pipe down, but just to be clear, I am fully aware when he got injured and just for the record, it was a calf injury in the warm up at Fratton Park (we lost 1-0 March 2004, yakubu scored the winner after about 70 minutes and Phillips hit a post in injury time) and then he injured his knee in training coming back from that injury. Also Crouch was "injured" or for some reason unavailable and pulled out just before kick off at Fratton Park for the 1-4 game and couldn't play so we had to go with Camara (who scored our goal, ran onto a through ball and put it into the bottom left corner as you face the Fratton end to make it 1-2) and Phillips up front. I also recall, like it was yesterday, Matt Taylor punching the net after their third goal and have hated him ever since. I dont think, or at least hope, we will ever see a more shameful, bottleless performance from a saints team ever again. Is that clear enough for you?

Did well at Bournemouth, got West Ham into Europe, got Pompey promoted and won the FA Cup (please dont go on about bankrupting Pompey, that wasn't his fault, he didn't run the clubs finances if a manager is given money to spend to improve the team they'll spend it) now got Spurs into the champions league. yet for us he was awful, the only place he has failed. And before you all jump on the band wagon a bout what a tosser he is, i seem to remember when Hoddle left a lot of people wanted Redknapp as manager then and were disapointed he didn't get it.

Come on JRM, they'd have turned them away, like they did to "turnups" famously all those years ago..

I remember that game well, seeing the players in the tunnel before kick off they looked like frightend rabbits. Niemi, Lundekvam etc I knew then we were going to lose badly that day and go down, that team had no bottle.

were you also the bloke that got done for assault for rubbing his foot against a womans leg in the jacuzzi at David Lloyd about 18 months ago :smt043 when i read that in the echo!

Lets hope he DOESN'T read these threads. God if i were him i'd be suicidal knowing there are so many narrow minded, judgemental, self righteous hypocrites in the world.
-
there is a WORST-THING-IN-THE-WORLD than that, when a bird still expects a line when she hasn't swallowed.
-
i think we should have a thread on every player availablethis summer.

Open minded??!!! on here??!!! :smt043

2,000 at Leeds is good. I remember going there in the 90's for a premier league game and we only had about 500.
-
no you are right, we should win every game, Man Utd do, so do Chelsea, Barcelona, Inter Millan, Real Madrid etc..... This year, 2010, since Pardew has had the squad he wanted we have lost 4 times in 28 games, one of these to a premier league team and one in a game where we had nothing to play for and experimented with the first XI. What is inconsistant about that?

I just mailed the link to a skate i used to work with and this was his response "Didn’t know that, got mine through the amount (40k) that went to FA affiliate (ie through Guildford & Woking league that I play in) – I suspect quite a few got them that way as they didn’t think that they’d get one of Pompey’s allocation. Why the intrigue, thought you’d snap one up to see what a proper cup final is like" That is a blinding excuse!!
-
i was at the game (it was a big one so of course i was) and then for my sins and quite sadly watched the first 70 minutes on telly after Sky plusing it. it sounded exactly like Play up Pompey and The commentator said at a point when "we" were singing Pay up Pompey, something along the lines of "the Pompey fans are in good voice as usual"

At last some common sense. :goodman:

You took the words out of my mouth! As did Norway with his comment on the opening line. Maybe yo foreigners aren't that bad after all :smt057...

Fabio Capello might be available after the world cup. Ancelotti might be out of job for not winning the champions league. How about Marcelo Lippi? Other than those three why on earth would you want an Italian manager who knows nothing about the English lower leagues over someone who has a record of promotion from lower leagues to the top flight?
-
whoever the back up is will be used as a target man with Barnard or Connolly supply the main goal threat. Stop panicing!! Its so we can contiune to play the same system if RL is injured, suspended or needs a rest, which he has needed this season at times.

So in serious instances they should be kept in the clunk after they have died too? No one is saying the crime isn't dispicable but having done the time then anyone has a right to make a living. everyone makes mistakes, he didn't set out to kill or hurt anyone, what he did do is mess up and do something very stupid which he will have to live with forever.
