-
i was thinking Romeu or Lavia, Plus JWP and Aribo
-
With him and Aribo looks like we've got some real power in the midfield now. Needs a striker of similar ilk

JUst been to my sons futsal session, they kept them on despite fears of death. It was about 32c although the car said 44c, quite pleasant sitting in a deck chair watching them, was just a light session, few skills stuff and a penalty competition at the end, whereas usually they'll play pretty intense 4 a side matches for the last 20 minutes. No one collapsed, all the lads enjoyed it and cant wait for wednesdays session.

the hottest temperatures i've been in was 45c, that was Marrakech in 2007 and the same in Puglia in 2019. It didn't really feel that hot and i didn't see anyone collapsing ih the street, despite their being rivers of them in Paris.

You do know this thread is about the UK heatwave, not the ones in Portugal, Spain and Greece?

Yes just spending doesn't work. Look at Man United, just signing player after player with no real strategy and ended up getting worse. Everton another example of just spending, they bought 4 players for the same position in the same window not long ago FFS. Then there is the Saints of 2017-21, missing out on quality players because we wont spend more than £15m and ended up giving some of them away or paying them to leave. Just spending money doesn't work, but then neither does trying to get away with doing things on the cheap. We're still in the premier league more by luck than anything else as we should have gone down the Pellegrini/Hughes season and we'd probably be doing what Derby are right now if that had happened.

any chance of setting up a facebook style page where we can mark ourselves as safe?

31 where i am, expected to be 33 by 4pm, I am still alive.

Course it matter, the clubs that spend most generally finish higher. The clubs that spend less usually end up getting relegated. We've bucked the trend recently but it'd be very naive to say spending doens't make a difference. Southampton spending to buck trend but transfer value is key | Daily Echo

I've played there! Great course, i had the worst hangover of my life as was on a work golf weekend which we'd sponsored and was a mental weekend. Luckily it was quite mild even though it was mid september. Kenny Dalglish plays there, think he's got a villa close by.
-
I went to the Scottish open last weekend and played Roxburghe on the sunday, it was 30 degrees then and was almost unbearable. Some of the local jocks quit because they couldn't cope with the weather. We ploughed on though as was one of the best courses i've ever played.

Of those 8 Forest, Fulham and Bournemouth were promoted this year, Brentford last year, Leeds the year before that. So your 40% figure whilst accurate ignores the fact that 5 of them have only been in the premier league for less than 2 years. Yes i know Bournemouth and Fulham have gone up and down but they both have much larger record fees than we do.

Incorrect and more absolute lies. You pissed a few people of when you started, completely unfoundedly, calling some of us Trump and Robinson supporters because we disagreed with you on some topics. You also started ranting at people about being far right and racist, again because they didn't agree with you. This also went on for ages. Couple that with your pious, preachy attitude and your white saviour complex and your lies you get to where you are. This is the problem with you, you like to play the nice guy and think of yourself as some sort of voice against all sorts of discrimination but you get very spiteful and attack people that dont kiss your arse, then play the victim accusing people of trolling and stalking you. Plenty of people have said for a while you generally ask for it and get what you deserve and you do.
-
Yep and all of those clubs with the exception of Brighton, Saints and Palace have been promoted within the last 2 season. 4 of them have record fees of £25m+ Of the current premier league clubs only Brentford and Forest have smaller record fees than us. THey have one season in the premier league in the last 25 years between them
-
Well we managed to stop acid rain in the 80s by reducing use of hair spray so amazing what can be achieved when we all come together.
-
and too expensive, £25m is mega money for a club like us. Not for any other premier league club, just us.
-
It is but in reality it was always unlikely we'd get him again, either stay at Chelsea or a bigger club would want him
-
Not really, they've done brilliant. Moyes has done a great job and in reality are probably one of the most attractive teams at the moment for a player outside of the top 4-6. Decent european campaign last season and European football this season. Plus if we like or not being London based is attractive for a lot of players. Crystal Palace are also building a good young side.
-
So apart from potentially giving two goals away he did alright 😉
-
Yes it does. You dont know the history here, Soggy loves to play the nice guy and the victim but if you dish it out then dont be suprised when you get it back.

He doesn't get much wrong so guess he's off there then. Hopefully we start to see a few more links this week as it's gone very quiet.
