  1. "i will miss you" Yep, he's not coming back Oh well, always rated Armstrong more anyway
  2. THINK OF THE RESALE VALUE!!!
  3. Agreed good player. Dennis would be okay as well. 10 goals this season in a crap team. Cornet from Burnley would fit in as well i think
  4. Have the scousers started whinging about it yet?
  5. I get we were hamstrung for years by Goa but we've lacked an experienced leader at centre back for 5 years. In that time we've signed Lyanco, Salisu, Hoedt, Vestergaard and Bednarek for £60m or so. You wouldn't call any of them a success some have been a disaster. Salisu has potential, Bednarek has been okay for what he cost but most agree he shouldn't be starting. You're not telling me in all that time there hasn't been a player available for £10m or less that would be exactly what we need to do that job. There is absolutely nothing wrong with bringing a handful of young players in let them devlop and sell for big money but when you ignore glaring errors in the squad because of an obsession with resale value then it's flawed
  6. I guess the big question is if we as fans can all see it why don’t they?
  7. We should all just start supporting Man City, we are a pointless club
  8. People don’t like xg because it states the bleeding obvious. If you’ve got a good keeper and defenders you concede less. If you’ve got good creative players and strikers you score more. It’s not frigging rocket science but people think they’re geniuses because they quote an XG number like they’ve discovered a cure for cancer.
  9. Marginal gains. Another book on the subject is the compound effect. Put simply improving by tiny amounts every day leads to huge improvement over an extended period. Look at ward Prowse, he used to hit every free kick exactly one foot over the angle, over the years he reduced that by 3 inches a season to now be able to get most on target. If Stephens, Lyanco and Bednarek aren’t looking at that for inspiration then I don’t know what’s wrong with them
  10. Small increments of improvement. A journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step. If we concede one less goal a season every season by 2089 we’ll be the first team to keep a clean sheet in every game
  11. Exactly. They’ll be happy with 17th every season and selling a player or two for huge profit. That is Serbia leisure holdings model. Meet the new boss same as the old boss
  12. Our priorities should be Good experienced keeper good experienced centre back leader good defensive midfielder decent striker creative attacking midfielder we will get players with a potential high future resale value have you ever know a club who sign players solely for how much they can sell them for in two or three years time?
  13. You appear to be imply the existence of something you once described as a false deity 🤔
  14. Is it true our fans were chanting Rooney throughout the game? That’s more embarrassing than the result FFS
  15. I expect they both will but we should be all over it. Oh to have a goalkeeper that can make saves and a defender that can defend
  16. Now can we go and sign Nick Pope and James Tarkowski PLEASE. would fix a lot of our issues
  17. The Leeds manager is very annoying isn’t he
  18. I didn’t say it was
  19. Im expecting exciting day of rollercoaster changes as the fight for 15th draws to a close!
  20. See you ignored the rest of the post. assume you were one of them all excited about nonsense like the game changers Netflix documentary.
  21. It winds me up why in 5 years we’ve failed to sign a decent, experienced centre half instead going for foreigners or youngsters who have failed. Look at someone like Craig Dawson for example, in the europa league team of the season and been key to West Ham this season been available twice for cheap since 2017 and both times we’ve been more clever and tried to sign players worrying more about resale value than doing a job we need for us. He’s not great by any means but would be that experienced centre half we’ve been lacking for years
  22. Spot on. Every successful team has a blend of youth and experience. Look back at the United “dont win anything with kids team” a team of supposedly youngsters but still had Cantona, Bruce, Irwin, schmicheal as experienced players even Giggs and Keane were mid twenties by then. it appears to me that some good players with a couple of years left in them like Armstrong and Romeu are being phased out. I only hope we aren’t going to expect a load of youngsters to come in and fill the void as whilst it’s admirable will be a disaster
  23. Best way to be a vegan? Have a burger and get over yourself i was recently recommended a book by a vegan as the science backed proof as to why it’s the most healthy option. It’s called how not to die. Every chapter is basically the answer is become vegan, what’s the question. there is no doubt at all that a diet high in veg, cutting out all processed food and sugar in the healthy way to live but this cut out all animal products is just agenda driven nonsense. Meat, veg, nuts seed, some fruit little starch no sugar (that means added sugar) is all you need to know.
  24. Don’t get me started on play acting. I had to ref at a kids tournament today and every game saw kids rolling on the floor crying and screaming like they’d be shot only to be up and running around 30 seconds later. They obviously watch it on the telly from the premier league. On kid in particular was rolling round on the floor holding his neck, not a mark on it, soon as he realised he might be subbed he was right as rain. It started to test my patience after a few games and I ended up ordering injured kids off the pitch immediately and subs be made. It’s rolling subs so no issue but really frustrating to see and as coaches and refs we have a duty of care to kids and one day someone might get properly injured and it be not treated as seriously initially due to the behaviour of the others.
  25. He reminds of watching kids trying new skills as my sons futsal club, sometimes they come off and they look as surprised as anyone when it does but most of them time they ended up falling over the ball.
