  1. Or maybe it's more people who have seen it first hand. There was a girl in my old company who was forever off with stress (despite doing fuck all) she was heard regularly loudly on the phone telling other colleagues if they were having a bad day to go to the doctor and tell them they are stressed, they'll get signed off and there as nothing the company could do about it. Stress isn't a debilitating mental illness, stress is part of life, something all of us have to deal with. unfortunately it's licence of a lot of people to roll themselves up into a little ball and hide away from the world rather than deal with it. An electrican was at my house yesterday asking me what i did for work, when i told him his first response was "bet that's stressful" my reply was no it isn't because i dont let it be. The problem is so many people these cant cope with even the most basic disapointment or pressure, we have a sales person in our company that refuses to do presentations because it makes them anxious! 1, that's not anxiety, that's nerves everyone gets until you've done the same pitch 100 times and 2, You're in the wrong job then! Because they've worked there for years nothing you can do about it. Like all these things there are extreme cases where genuine high level stress can cause issues but for the vast majority of people who've just had a bit of a bad run of things plenty of ways to manage it and the biggest way of all is to deal with it head on. If your doctor is immediately signing you off with stress and not asking you how much exercise you get, how much time you inside locked away from the world not talking to anyone, what your diet is like, how much alochol you're drinking you dont have a dcotor you have someone else signing off your holiday.
  2. What is he at the moment, a crap manager who gets teams relegated despite spending loads of money or a crap manager who is only keeping teams up because he spent loads of money?
  3. that's about the size of it. They are virtue signalling junkies. Desperately finding the most recent cause to attach themselves the public display of superiorty or to show what a lovely, caring person they are. They also appear desperate to tell everyone how terrible the world is but not them, they're trying to help by highlighting how terrible the world is.
  4. Exactly what will happen along with a load of hand wringing about from fans on forums about how football has returned to the dark ages, how depressing it all is and how we need to do more.
  5. Yep, one of the two is going to be offended. How do you decided which one wins? (Wrong expression I know)
  6. Yes there are a tiny minority of religious families who think that way. Why do you think football is one of the society circles where it’s lacking acceptability? a lot of Muslim players in the premier league these days, Islam forbids homosexuality. How do you deal with a situation like this if a club had a gay player?
  7. But being gay is acceptable now. The lad even said when he told people everyone was really supportive and he was worrying about nothing. A lot of it was in his head, we keep being told how homophobic everything is and how gay people are terrified to go to football but it all seems to be people speaking on behalf of them.
  8. If it makes him feel better good for him, it still doesn’t change the fact that it’s no one else’s business. Why should people be “encouraged” to come out an announce their sexuality? It’s a form of pressuring them is it not just so some people can clap along and feel better about themselves for supporting them.
  9. So Instead of writing a post you devoted two thirds of your thread to talking about me. 🤔 glad you made the last couple of lines about wishing Jake your best, I’m sure he’s grateful. Doesn’t change the fact his sexuality isn’t really anyone else’s business, not sure why saying that is a such an issue
  10. Should be an average of 2 per first team squad. Who is your money on at saints? Not really sure why people need encouragement to announce their sexuality it’s not anyone else’s business what someones sexuality is.
  11. Has the gender been confirmed? Lots of assumptions but not seen it from them
  12. So we have our first openly gay footballer 👏👏👏👏
  13. Terry Paine played his last game for Saints nearly half a century ago but people still go on about him as a Saints legend and the old stories come out whenever he's at a game. Guess we're only allowed to like it if it's saints players.
  14. She is one of my favourite posters, likes to play the part of the lovely, open minded, strong person but you're never a few keystrokes away from a foul mouth tirade of abuse if you so much as allude to something she doesn't agree with.
  15. Great of Steven Gerrards Villa to show their support for Liverpools bid to win their their six Champions league.
  16. why would you do that? How about you just not get yourself all upset about a club celebrating a bloke giving them 17 years service, it really isn't something you get all hot and bothered about
  17. Why would you do that? How about you just not get yourself all upset because another club celebrated the career of a bloke who has given them 17 years service which in this day and age is incredibly rare and not something to get all wound up about.
  18. Yep the greatest league in the world needs to still have something to play for on the last day of its season. Expect Liverpool to get a big decision in their favour plus plenty of 50/50s. Anything debatable will got their way without doubt
  19. Let’s hope the team run out to God save the queen on Tuesday night. Not only will it wind up the scousers it’ll have MLG in meltdown
  20. Exactly but sadly it’s gone over Sue’s angry little mind
  21. Really? 17 years at one club, they weren’t always top half club in that time either. Stuck with them when they went down. Im sure you’d don’t find it vomit inducing when people talk about Benali or Dodd with affection
  22. Class player and exactly what we are lacking but as we won’t be able to sell him for a huge profit in two years time we won’t be in for him.
  23. you cant even call a bald bloke bald anymore FFS. It's political correctness gone mad! Calling a man ‘bald’ is sexual harassment, employment tribunal rules | Sexual harassment | The Guardian
  24. Exactly. This sort of nonsense shows why the statsmen don’t know what actually goes on on the pitch
  25. Time to bring back TWar mate, this login is getting rinsed again
