semmens going on about how big the womens team is going to be, interviews with rainbow saints, spotlight section in the media team talking about how they’re celebrating pride, the new security officer slapping himself on the back about how he’s fixed the problem with the vile scum in the itchen north, the celebration party when we got joint 3rd place in the sustainability table. Tasting session of the new range of vegan foodstuff. it’ll be the perfect platform to demonstrate how a modern club should be.

It’s really good. Seen the first two, the first one with the 3 12 year old lads was really good and they all seemed like really nice lads. Pleased the young keeper got his contract too.

Intuition. When was the last time we did any significant business in the last week of the transfer window? Can only think of Mane and Alderwiereld back in 2014. It’s usually a total let down

I get the feeling you’re going to be disappointed

Nah, despite us chasing a striker and full back all summer Ralph will decide just after the window he is happy with his options in all positions with a strong deep squad. Also let’s not forget that all important pathway as we don’t want to upset Dom Ballard by blocking his pathway with another signing, the pathway is there for players to see, it’s the pathway, the club identity, the pathway is the way we do things, the pathway etc etc

One of my favourite quotes was after the January window when we signed Carillo. Les banging on about how tough the market was the Carillo deal was really hard to do. I suspect this was for different reasons Les thinks in that they probably thought it was no either a wind up or we were absolute mugs so let’s rinse them for as much as possible.

Meanwhile here in the UK our prospective new PM has defended fuel company making obscene profits whilst families are worried about paying their bills. still if you’re investing in shares then there seems to be no better industry at the moment they’re rolling in it, Harbour the latest to announce huge profits https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/aug/25/harbour-energy-defends-investor-payouts-12-fold-profits

Energy cap to go up again as expected, £3549 to be the new average. When do we get our £400 from Richi?

He got quite shirty when we asked if he was taking any Ukrainians, I guess like most things with soggy that’s for others to do whilst he takes his stand by posting on multiple Southampton football forums about what everyone else should be doing

Currently in Sardinia, our third trip and is not disappointing. Spent the morning up at a lovely little town called San Pantelo, a market going on so we wondered round that, stopped for coffee in a delightful little cafe. The people are so classy. Then headed down the coast to Porto Cervo which is like the Sardinian Monaco, designer boutiques at every turn, Boats like you’ve never seen before. We arrived as this one was pulling out. Suckling pig for dinner tonight. 😋

Never done it personally but some friends of ours did the holiday you’re talking about and said it was amazing. I would imagine that sort of place would attract a decent standard of clientele rather than the boozy med cruise tossers. The only thing they didn’t like about Norway was they went for a traditional Norwegian dinner of Herring. They didn’t find out until they arrived that it’s Norwegian tradition to bury it and let it rot before serving it, they said it was the foulest smelling and tasting food they’ve ever experienced. Aside from that Norway is a fantastic country by all accounts

I had no idea Romney marsh was such a hotbed of nightlife in Kent. When lads from Ashford want a top night out they don’t go to Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells or Maidstone they go to Romney Marsh.
-
Just as well you can’t afford to go out for a pint anymore then isn’t it

He talks so much bollocks he forgets what he believes in. As long as it’s the opposite of the what the tories have done he’ll support it. Proper weird.

Walter Mitty strikes again! Yeah Im utter sure the landlord described his pub as now being full of “boorish non woke types from Ashford” I bet the far right wing are banging the doors down of pubs in Romney Marsh 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I remember when his stock was high he was described as “a real student of the game” an expression which was repeated verbatim by talk sport regulars the length and breadth of the country. WTF does that mean? He writes shite 10000 word essays on football no one wants to read? Utter drivel said by people who want sound clever by bigging him up

I remember the days of the “just back from the game thread” whilst on the one hand it was a passive aggressive way of boasting about who had been a better fan than others by being at the match I was always amazed how some people managed to get home within 20 minutes or sometimes less. Given the fact it could often take you that long to get out of the stadium sometimes.
