  1. Watched this one the Leeds end and drank before and after with Leeds fans although nice to bump into a few saints during the day. They were raving about JWP after. draw a fair result, both teams pretty well organised defensively but offered little up front. Adams is a bloody brilliant footballer, has it all apart from being able to finish. 🙄 Their goal very soft, our goal brilliant free kick. assume Romeu was injured as we were controlling midfield at that point when he was subbed and obvious they’ve being Phillips on with 60/70 mins to go to try to wrestle back control, seemed crazy to take him off otherwise KWP great again, Broja poor again and Armstrong seems so far down the pecking order it beggars belief Looked like and end of season game with two teams without much to play for slug it out, competent but lacking any real quality word on the fans, Leeds fans were good but watching our lot you barely heard them. Really poor. Travel all that way and stand/sit in silence, why?
  2. Didn’t get your head kicked in then like you were shitting it about then you absolute melt
  3. I thought when big teams get an easy draw it’s because the draw is rigged?
  4. I don’t see anyone complaining about the draw being fixed…..
  5. Taiwo Awoniyi, young hungry, improve is guarentee Taiwo Awoniyi i really f***ing hate Pompey
  6. Sam Smiths pubs are generally shite IMO. Cheap but pretty crap beer, no atomsphere and aren't they all cash only? Ones in and around the town i live in are. Head of Steam is alright but a bit sort of Wetherspoonsy in terms of punters, not a big fan myself but a reasonable first stopping point off the train. Whitelocks is worth a visit Whitelock's Ale House, Leeds Est.1715 (whitelocksleeds.com) Midnight Bell good on a sunny day with a decent beer garden. There's loads of decent places a lot to choose from. Certainly a lot better than the pubs around the ground.
  7. Sadly agents fees are a nessasary evil in the modern game. Obvious we are up to our eyeballs in debt but even in the days when we were posting record profits year after year agents fees were one of the main reasons why we had a sale to buy strategy. Im glad we pay them one of the least but i'm afraid it's always been a used as an excuse to justify our lack of spending over the years. Also makes you wonder with agents being very influencial in deals if we've missed out on players due to our strategy.
  8. You're best off drinking round the city centre and getting a bus or taxi to the ground. pubs around the ground aren't great. Lots of decents ones in the City centre though.
  9. Interesting that yet again we are right at the bottom of the pile for agents fees, as we always are. Agents fees were always given as one of the main reason why we had to keep our spending below our income from transfers, seems that excuse is a load of bollocks, which also confirms what we already knew.
  10. Top player and top bloke. Been one of the best signings we’ve made. Doesn’t sound too promising that though.
  11. #higherceilingthanBroja
  12. Why would someone be mentally unbalanced to post that?
  13. Most points dropped from winning positions, you might soon sing that....
  14. To those supporting Will Smith what should happen to Ricky Gervais? He's cracked far worse jokes on stage at the expense of others. Jimmy Carr is another one, often picks people out in the crowd to make fun of, with worse jokes than Chris Rock posted. Where is the line and what suitable redemption should have been dished out?
  15. Lots of snow up here this morning. You soppy southern jessies are going to stand out like cross dresser in the Wool Pack this weekend with your pints of shandy and big coats on.
  16. on the covid related note people that used to post #stayathome facebook profile pictures with them at their family outside. A kid of missing the point as well as self righteous i'm telling you what to do.
  17. A man has been jailed for 6 weeks for calling Rashford a name on twitter Man, 19, jailed for racially abusing Marcus Rashford on Twitter | Crime | The Guardian Yet when people get their house burgled or beaten up in the street police say they dont have enough resources to deal with it. 😕
  18. I reckon there is potential here for a mongboard version of gogglebox
  19. one of the best numbers 10s in the world IMO.
  20. White people commenting on black peoples violence.
  21. trust in Turkish with your whole heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he himself will set your path straight.
  22. True. It also said beware of false prophets, who come to you disguised as football experts, but are really not knowing their right backs from their left backs, You will recognise them from their over use of stats, spreadsheets and graphs.
  23. That's not true. He's a lovely bloke. Mrs Turkish was working for saints when he was there and they always said that he was a great lad and very popular in the dressing room. Funnily enough i see a fair bit of him now as we lives quite close to where i do and we have a mutual friend. Still a very nice chap by all accounts. I agree he was a bit of a disapointment, was really highly rated when we got him, cant have helped being a young player joining a team in quick decline. It all imploded very quckly after the 2003 cup final sadly.
  24. It's how my son learnt his lefts and rights at about 4 years old, it really helps him when he's playing football now when the coach asks him to play left back or left midfield. Always good to know who is playing where even in U9s football. As for turning the palm upside down, can only think repeatedly doing that is a short cut to arthritis.
  25. Confidently claiming a player is one of the best in the world in his postion, based on hardly seeing him play and when he did couldn't work out what postion he way playing. This is an absolute belter .
