Nah, but there have been a whole history of geeky, stat nerds who post for a bit, show themselves to be clueless then disappear. tac-tic, redslo to name two who came on here posted this sort of stuff prolifically, got a few supporters then bored everyone to death before disappearing, I think someone else will go the same way

Always was a great poster. His Twitter meltdown demanding to know why he was banned was hilarious. I really don’t get why anyone thought he was that other poster whose name escapes me for now 🤣
-
I don’t give a shit what any experts say the 3 key metrics of success in life how many friends you have on facebook how many tweets you’ve made how many posts you have on football forums
-
If you’re always missing that era what does that tell you?
-
Can you imagine the meltdowns. It would Be hilarious seeing some of the bellends on here reading it.

You’ve obviously not read my summary of the forum. The one post has got more likes you’ve had in your history. So pipe down dull Adrian

I took my son and two of his mates to the game today, none of them born when we beat Carlisle in the JPT. I said I’d seen Southampton beat Carlisle at Wembley in the cup final, they all said, how were Carlisle ever good enough to make the FA cup final 🤣🤣

he is apparently a shit player who is worse than what they’ve already got so not sure why they’d want him. If it happens it’ll be interesting to see if Useless Howe can develop him beyond a six goal a season striker with a lower ceiling than a player who can’t get in a team ahead of a 35 year old journeyman who might be without a club in 8 weeks

The Howe Newcastle topic is as boring as the Broja one. Absolutely fruitcakes on here

I’ve just watched him play for Carlisle away at Harrogate. It’s fair to say I wasn’t watching the new Van Dijk! He was okay didn’t really do much wrong but didn’t stand out as a player capable of playing at a much higher level. Went off after 55 minutes injured I think after a heavy fall a few minutes earlier. In mitigation Carlisle were probably the worst professional team I’ve ever seen, made harrogate who have been awful for a couple of months look like 1970 Brazil and could have won 8-0 if they could finish. Really hard game to judge him on mainly because his team were beyond awful. I’m sure there will be some stats somewhere they say how magnificent he and Carlisle were but watching the game wasn’t quite like that

One of the funniest things I ever seen anywhere was when Keith Legg was being courted by Micheal Wilde to get the fans onside and Was invited to Sweden as his guest for a preseason trip. Someone posted a picture of someone walking a lap dog with Wilde and Keith’s faces on them, I’d love to see that again.

It also doesn’t work very well when you supposedly take people off ignore to reply to them, even though you couldn’t have seen the post if they were on ignore, which is a weird thing to do.

The figures might not be bang on but they must have come from somewhere. Nobody would just guess saints manager is almost as well paid as managers of Chelsea and Man United. You’d probably say saints are well down the list if you were just guessing
-
I would assume Howes deal includes a huge bonus for keeping them up so maybe that’s not in these numbers. I know Ralph is very well paid but seems very off he’s not far of champions league winning Tuchel and Ten Hag managing one of the worlds biggest clubs.

I take it you don’t remember the days of infraction points for pointless posts. 95% of the posts on here would qualify for that these days

Assume you’re talking about TUI, which used to be hilarious a few years ago, some of the threads would have me in stitches. But that got ruined by all the political stuff and one lunatic who seemed determined to get the site shut down. going way back Essruus b-anter forum was brilliant as well, can only imagine what some of the wet lettuces that post on here would have made of it. Grizzle gutting into their rainbow laces and herbal teas (no milk) no doubt. It quite sad that I’ve been posting on This place regularly it is various guises for 20 odd years now though and has always gone through cycles. It was much like the TUI used to be in its early days, then it got overtaken by a load of helmets who it appeared only discovered football when we moved to st Mary’s with the seating plans, what name are you getting on your shirt this season? Geeky stuff. The ITK era of the late 00s was blinding, with the power struggle between fans and fan groups. Amygate, St Romsey saints feud with delldays, franks cousins drunken rants, the Spanish loon who banged on about Javi De Pedro endlessly, Gulys 15 minute contract clause, some funny stuff over the years. still a few good posters but a lot who take themselves very seriously and just want to quote stats or show how virtuous they are. Sadly that is also a reflection of how football has gone, but I definitely think this forum is home to some of the weirdest, geeky, self righteous helmets I’ve ever come across.

Which ones are not accurate?

The second poster on here says all forums are the same, yet posts furiously on many of them, maybe he is the common denominator? as for me I’m the forums fine whiskey. Not everyone gets me or likes me but those that do think I’m marvellous. And even those that don’t still like to have a little taste now and again.
-
You should have been on here a few years ago, it was brilliant. Thread after thread of off the scale discussion, sharing great stories, highs and lows, etc. then it went downhill, a lot of the good posters from that time don’t bother any more and you can see why!

Again you’ve completely made up that i said or think that.
-
That’s what people said, pundits too, you know like people who have played the game and actually know a bit about it who should we trust, people who watch the match, have played the game in some cases at international level or some bloke on a forum who looks at lots of spreadsheets and clearly has some agenda. Tough one.

Nice rewriting of history 3 months ago people were saying Broja was good enough for Chelsea first team and highlighting he’d scored more than all their current strikers.

I don’t think it’s enough it’s been a really disappointing last third of the season. He was great earlier in the season but the last 8 weeks or so hes dropped in form so has Livermento and Salisu, other young lads in their first full premier league season. It happens it’s what young players do. But I’ve got axe to grind with any of them, but then it wasn’t me saying a player 4 years older who now can’t get a game ahead of a 35 year old out of contract in a few weeks who has always been a pretty average player, had a higher ceiling.
