  1. It is but bit boring having the same teams coming up again. Looks like it’ll be those two Come up automatically. Would love to see Luton, Coventry, Forest or millwall come up, millwall in the premier league would be magnificent.
  2. Hang on a minute, the other day you were claiming Howes only turned Newcastle round because he had money. You were desperately talking up Tripper and Bruno, claming Burn and Wood were better than what we had. So now money doesn’t guarantee success, it’s how good the manager is. Make your mind up.
  3. Define didn’t do much
  4. It’s very odd that a manager takes a team from bottom of league two to the premier league and some people find it impossible to say anything positive about them. I guess when people do it on FM fairly regularly then it dilutes how brilliant it actually is.
  5. But Howe got them into a position where they were investable. When he took over they were bottom of league 2 with a 17 point deduction, when he left they’d just spent 5 years in the premier league. But it was all inspite of useless Eddie, right?
  6. So how is responsible for turning them from a small league 2 club to a bigger club able to spend big top 10 money then, all credit to him, surely. Fantastic achievement. Rafa did better than Steve Bruce and Lampard, what an achievement!
  7. It’s all relative. He took a club the size of Bournemouth from a 17 point deficit at the bottom of league two into the premier league and kept them there for 5 seasons. That’s incredible but you only go on about his one bad season, funny how you never mention Rafas relegation, pretty crap performance and newcastle and make excuses for his failure at Everton
  8. But you ignore all Howes achievements and just focus on his relegation as evidence as to how bad he is, your hero also got relegated but you never mention that
  9. What about Rafa Benitez? Got a relegation on his CV too….
  10. Doesn’t sound like us!
  11. Former saints target Ibrahim Sangare playing very well for PSV against Leicester. Looks a real player who would have been a good replacement for Romeu. Work permit issues stopped the deal dead with us I believe. Certainly a lot more physical than Diallo who we got instead
  12. unless it covers XGs im out
  13. The alternatives were Dave Beasant or Chris Woods! FAct of the day, all three of Englands 1990 World cup keepers played for Saints in their careers. Shilton was 40 by then and really should have been replaced but wasnt really a viable option. Shilton was Saints keeper when i started watching Saints and i remember him being brilliant but then i was only a kid, gutted when he left to go to Derby, big thing at the time about who was better him or Neville Southall. However he was past his best by then, guess his peak would have been late 70s, early 80s with Forest. Flowers was very popular but kept out of the team for a while by John Burridge who i remember being a pretty crap keeper but popular due to his gymnastic warm up on the pitch before games.
  14. cause he's finished.
  15. i thought that to. I'd love to see Simeone in the premier league. Would be great fun, love to see a team going mental, it's brilliant viewing, think someone else said the commentators banging on "we dont want to see this" Yes we absolutely do.
  16. Course he is, think's he's a woman for a start.
  17. What did you expect him to say? Even if he thinks he should privately he's not going to put it in a reply to some random person he's never heard of venting his spleen about it.
  18. (2241) Saints vs Arsenal 02/03 - YouTube 2 mins in. What a keeper.
  19. when i started to read your post i thought you were talking about yourself!
  20. I hope UEFA investigate his behaviour
  21. funnily enough i was having this conversation the other day with one of the dads in my sons futsal. He was moaning that they're going twice a week and the sessions are very similar every week, what's the point of being able to do 10 keep ups with the outside of your foot etc. Exactly the point, mastery is practising the same skill over and over again, it might be boring for watching parents but it isnt about us and thats how it works, the kids dont seem to find it dull as they go home and practise in the garden for hours and that's why our kids are head and shoulders over the other kids in their saturday team. Anyway point being i'm sure some players could do that pass as well, but you dont see many doing it against the European champions when theyre desperate for a goal.
  22. Think it was Duckhunter who made a very valid point, the really top players deliver when it matters. Pulisic two good chances, missed, Benzema, scores, Modric produces a bit of sheer brillaince to pull them back in to it. It's all very well scoring the 3rd in a 3-0 win, or the consolation in a 3-1 loss, but that's what seperates the good from the great, doing it when it matters.
  23. This. TAA is probably slightly better going forward, but as we said he had a spell on sunday where we was ripped apart against City. As Englands centre backs are no where near the level of Liverpools then that's why i'd go for James better all rounder, followed by Walker although not much in that. With TAA as third choice. Tripper and KWP behind them, although the fact that Tripper and KWP can also play left back might mean they are preferred. Great problem to have though having 5 players competing for that spot.
  24. Remember he's still dogshite though, so he's basically improved a player that was worse than that. I wouldn't be sticking that one on the CV if i was Ralph.
  25. Why was Ralph unable to improve him when he first joined, before his loan spell?
