They've also done it better because they've not just relied on signing young players. They've signed proven premier league players too like Evans, Perez, Mcguire, Inacheo. They've also spent a bit more on quality, Tielmans you mention cost £40m. They've got quite a few around the £18-£30m mark as well, whereas a big signing for us is £15m. Surely a goal scorer is the priority though. Good ones cost money and come at a premium. You can get away with gambling on a winger but not someone who could be the difference between promotion and relegation.

Yep. Vila have been proactive, signed 3 good players and have a better squad now than when Grealish goes. We on the other had are reportedly trying to find cheap alternatives rather than pay for the player we have been linked with for months. like you say we’ve been skint since 2014, always had to sell to buy, always had to be careful, even when we were making record profits year after year we still had reasons why we had to be prudent.
