  1. Agree. Plus also the board have 2 years to identify the next man to continue the excellent work of Pardew, Adkins, Pochettino and eventually Koeman.
  2. I know what you mean, but if everyone knows he is still leaving at the end of that season then it won't stop the speculation. I guess he will want something to move too, and that would obviously also need to align anyway so he may stay an extra year but he seems to always mention his contract and did the exact same thing with Feyenoord.
  3. I thought their family mostly still lives in the Netherlands and just visits? IMO he will do his contract and then move on, which is probably the best outcome for all. Hopefully it will end well unlike other Manager departures. Can see it being similar as to when he left Feyenoord.
  4. Excellent. Season turned once he found form.
  5. They havent been keen before to play Cedric midweek and at the weekend. In the majority of his PL starts he has been subbed before the end. Seeing as he played 90mins last night I don't expect him to start this weekend.
  6. He only pushes himself up the pecking order if he Manager allows him to. RK said the right things but you wouldn't bet much on Ramirez making the bench versus Swansea.
  7. Would go for that with also Davis in for JWP. Simply because he is just a better player IMO.
  8. Key for me is whether he plays Cedric. Surely he has to, but he played the full 90 tonight so you never know. Personally would keep Long from the bench. Swansea aren't MK Dons and Pelle had his best game for us versus United and is a more reliable goalscorer. Koeman said after the game that Bertrand probably isnt fit to play a whole game, but would start with him anyway.
  9. We also play Bmth the Sunday after so for once playing Sunday will be useful.
  10. Think we have Bournemouth on the Sunday that week, so more recovery time too.
  11. Sure does. Very calm finisher too. Obviously cost a lot but United have the money. Looks an excellent signing.
  12. Ramirez did well by the sounds of it but its not the toughest coming on against an already beaten side. He is a very good player technically, but his ability isnt why he has failed at Saints.
  13. Perfect. Lets hope for a home draw to the lowest ranked team possible.
  14. Sub Mane off about now. No point risking an injury to the best attacker.
  15. Doesn't sound like Juanmi has really taken his chance so far. Fans singing "Gaston Ramirez, he's back from the dead!"
  16. Whenever they mention a shot by Long you know what is coming next!
  17. He is class. Will do big things in his career!
  18. Great so far. Take Mane off at HT!
  19. Sounds like the Jay of old...
  20. Adam Blackmore just said on Solent that RK told him Ramirez could have left but said he wanted to stay at Saints. Bizarre in a way. Must have been a poor offer!
  21. So is everyone. Much better to pick a good side. But must be space for even one U21 player to give them experience and give the others something to work for. Especially for a club whose apparent USP is the Academy.
  22. Caulker out of favour big time it seems.
  23. Probably not to be fair. Alao had Bertrand out at that time. With everyone fit he wouldn't make the bench. Would rather use Jack Stephens as that sort of backup rather than him being sat on Boro's bench in what now looks a strange loan, surely we want him to play?
  24. McQueen and Hesketh could easily have made the bench too. If they don't for these kind of games then its very hard for them to get any first team exposure really. Despite his rep for it, I can't really think of any young player Koeman has identified and brought firmly into the first team fold with clear faith and trust. I guess though, ultimately a Manager is judged on results, can't blame him for putting out the best team he can. Many Spurs fans having seen their team tonight will wish MP had RK's attitude to the Cup!
