The club have never really said when Forster is expected back. I wonder if realistically he is going to struggle to return this season, although whilst Stek is fit there is no issue anyway. But if FF is out for the season then the level of available backup to Stek is poor and undoubtedly in the bottom 3 of the league. I do find it amazing that the club's transfers are so well planned and proactive yet we have failed to improve our no 2 keeper pretty much since we came up to the PL. Both the last two seasons have seen our no 1 keeper miss at least a month's worth of games.

I'm sure it influenced him and also influenced us, Watson would have good reports on the player. No coincidence the other keeper we were linked with was Woodman who is Lewis' Eng youth teammate.

Reading between the lines it sounds like he has similar feelings to Peace around the way Spurs do things. Hopefully the likes of Cedric, Clasie, Van Dijk and Juanmi show what they can do and if all are successful then we will be doing well and it will be looked upon as a good window. One of the lowest net spends if not the lowest in the league, so a good window financially too. One negative: our GK backup is still awful and that could yet bite us on the arse....again.

Lots of people seem to put Clasie in the wrong position.

He should fit well into our 1-4-3-3 system.

We need four CBs so little chance of that. I think VVD will be the only incoming and that is fine. We aren't West Ham and don't need to have 3562 targets every window and end up with Jelavic and Victor Moses on loan.

See above. Its just true. They may not have world class keepers but are competent, many are Intls or have been good in the PL/ Championship in the last 2 or 3 years and aren't approaching 40 or in the case of Gazza have less than 40 pro mens games under their belt. If Stekelenburg gets injured, it will massively hamper our ability to pick up wins as it did when Forster was injured.
