Pretty sure Blackmore hasn't specifically commented on Fonte, but if he is unsure of his situation then again it shows a lack of communication. He has been a good pro for the club, the least we can do is have a chat with him, even if its to say they havent decided yet.

Brighton fans reckon we want Ulloa.

Quotes online at the Twitter of @Joe_Batchelor. Everything he says seems fair enough to me, pretty measured.
-
He spoke to Lambert at the England game, quite possibly Lallana. What more does he have to say? He is reporting their thoughts and feelings, not his own, and he can't always put everything he knows out there. One thing is for sure, he is well connected to the players and more reliable than any report you read from a national paper where Saints is concerned. If you don't like it then fair enough, its not exactly a great message for us fans. But don't question his integrity, he is doing his job. You always used to get your knickers in a twist as DPS, try to keep Jeff free from that for the sake of everyone.

Maybe its true? Lambert has left, Shaw will, Lallana wants to, Schneiderlin has expressed a desire to, Fonte is about to moan too. Maybe Blackmore is actually reporting what is going on, whether we like it or not? Or are all those players happy?
-
Agree and its only just June. Players must be riled by Reed and Krueger because they have tried to go right since the final whistle of the last game.
-
If they ignore calls because they are playing hardball then thats one thing, but I imagine its more a case of them just not knowing what to actually say. Absolute bunch of amateurs in charge, not enough football administration expertise and ultimately too much naivety at PL level compared to other well run clubs. Too many executive level people with no clear deliniation of who does what. We never hear from the CEO who effectively is top dog. Bizarre.

Not good to hear, and he is a well respected Journalist rather than a tabloid sensationalist.

I think from looking back at the previous few posts it is fairly clear as to the content of the reports Armstrong is refering to. But best wait for the real quotes to get the full picture. Clearly Fonte isn't a happy bunny. I think SA only has 3 posts and has used them today so lets just wait and see what comes out tomorrow.

In a summer of change, solid players like Fonte and Cork become invaluable. I would say its too much for Fonte to ask for them to at least speak to him. If we lose the likes of these guys it is almost worse than the Lallana's and Shaw's because you know they love it here and would happily stay. Wouldnt be overly tough negotiations, or ludicrous wages. Don't blame him at all for going to the press if that is the only other options he thought he had.

From Journo Joe Batchelor.. Can't promise...but look out for some big quotes from a certain #saintsfc CB in papers tomorrow. The one that rhymes with Harry Belafonte.
-
Sounds more like we havent offered anything or even spoken to them about it, which is plain mental. Both really good solid PL pros.
-
Davis signed a 4 year contract so has two years left. Armstrong - you think something will come out tomorrow then?
-
Yeah would absolutely love him to score in the World Cup.
-
Scored in his first game for us, and his last, and most of the ones in between. Saints legend for certain.

Also despite what that article says, I don't think Moyes has any real record with young players. Phil Neville played instead of Barkley last year and any Manager would have played Rooney aged 16. You could never say Moyes is a poor appointment, but I wouldn't be buzzing either.

Ramirez exit makes sense if he is on 60k a week we ca use that in a much better way. Doubt Torino will buy him outright though.
-
Be better off following @JimWhite then.
-
He was probably better in the Championship season where got 20 odd goals and was Swansea's key man.
-
Must be true then. Down to evens on Sky Bet. Although Oscar Garcia's Uncle also follows Saints...
-
He is 5 years younger and is on an upward curve. Sinclair's career has stalled and the jury is still out on his ability at PL level.
-
I think I would take Redmond over Sinclair.
-
Be interesting to see what type of clubs go in for Nathan Redmond and how much it would cost to sign him. He is very raw, inconsistent and often lacking end product, but certainly has a lot of talent and potential to be a good player. Also the type of player we havent got, neither in the first team or U21s.

Surely the Spurs story is yet another "Sky Sources" leak from Liverpool with the aim of persuading us that we won't be getting a better offer than theirs. They want to get the deal wrapped up ASAP. Thought that was obviously whats at play with this story?
