  1. Why isn't he brave enough to spell out the 'naughty' word?
  2. He has a broken hand so no reason not to train. If he were an outfield player he wouldn't have missed a game.
  3. Always thought he was incredibly overrated by Saints fans and never did anything of note in England.
  4. Seems complete guesswork. Boruc isnt out for that long anyway.
  5. 20 loyalty points for this one lads.
  6. He is out of contract shortly, so I am sure theres a deal to be done. If of course there is anything in it.
  7. Feghouli is quite a hard working player, can play in all midfield positions.
  8. Seager was also scoring miles more than Gallagher last season, plus Hoskins who regularly scored for the 18s and 21s can't get in the Yeovil team this season. Patience is needed. Not every Academy player will be of the quality of Shaw, JWP or Chambers - these are exceptional players for their age.
  9. Silly tactic. Even when its a rare good pass it leaves the full back with nowhere to go.
  10. Blackstock, Best and McGoldrick all had vastly superior youth team goal ratios and write ups than Gallagher has had. Not saying he isnt going to be good, but lets not put pressure on him.
  11. Damiao has signed for Santos apparantly.
  12. Would be an excellent signing.
  13. It wasn't a raucous cheer. It was very ironic and mocking. Mind you, I wasn't suprised. Mostly it was the same jerks that abused Boruc and nearly caused us relegation last season.
  14. Decent article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2521833/After-Walcott-Bale-Lallana-Shaw-generation-Saints-players-making-themselves.html
  15. When I was a young'un and went to the Dell with my Dad there was a guy just in front of us who would shout, multiple times per game, "Bloody hell Benali". He had one of those booming voices, and it was probably the highlight of going to football for me. It probably wasn't until I was 9 or 10 that I realised Benali's first name wasn't Bloodyell.
  16. Always amuses me that at a city centre stadium there are so many people who choose to eat the muck served up (plastic hotdogs, tepid 'pies' etc) when there are so many other options nearby. However, more bizarre is that despite knowing what they are letting themselves in for, so many people moan at the catering whilst continuing to pay £4.50 for a piece of s**t in a roll week after week.
  17. Missed the point Joe. Its more funny than annoying. If you read the post you would see. Can you read mate?
  18. Thats a good one. Either leave, or stay, don't just go to leave, realise it was a stupid idea and get in everyone's way.
  19. Often when a first team player is injured and not on the bench you hearing people stating the team selection as if they have just been left out through choice. Also, and this really annoyed me at the weekend, is the ironic cheers when our keeper catches the ball. Gazza had this a few times from people and you have to wonder what they are doing. If someone is clearly looking a bit nervy then surely they need support rather than abuse?
  20. Wherever you sit at SMS you are only a couple of seats away from someone who has clearly never had much of a grasp of football. Some of what you hear beggars belief. There are some recent offerings that have made me laugh, plus some old classics, and some that are "non-footy" ie just odd behaviours that are repeated regardless of the game that is being played. One of each please. Recent On Saturday it was very much a case of Boruc vs Gazza and Lambert vs Osvaldo. Early on, one wally behind me was moaning every time Osvaldo touched the ball, basically suggesting that Lambert would have pinged in a 30 yarder with every touch of the ball. Once Osvaldo scored a goal Lambert never could have, he went quiet, then when Osvaldo missed one of the second half chances was back on the "Lambert would have scored that" banddwagon. Old Classic Despite having watched passing football for at least 3 or 4 years now, some fans just don't seem to understand how our team plays. If Shaw passes back to Lovren, then to Fonte, then Clyne/Chambers, then into Morgan, back to Shaw etc it isnt long before some goof shouts "Gettt itttt forward". We play a long ball up to the striker. It goes over their head. Same goof: "Get it on the ground you mugs. Get it down." Priceless, and regular. Non Footy Incident Despite paying for a footy ticket each week, looking forward to the game etc, checking websites for team news all week, chatting about looking forward to the game... Some people can't: i.) Arrive on time ii.) Arrive for the second half on time iii.) Stay to watch the end of the game Just bizarre, all three equally.
  21. They are playing in a far worse league than us though so results are hard to assess. I imagine a couple of U21s might play in this for us.
  22. True - certainly Lambert's awareness of the whole game is superior, but RL wouldnt have scored that goal at the weekend, and certainly seems to be struggling to get clear sights of goal in open play.
