Agree. All the stuff about Lambert being a number 10 is because he has good technique and often drops off the front well. Actually being a number 10 is about more than that, and I would rather Lallana, J Rod, Davis and Ramirez at 10, all of whom are better suited than RL. Lambert is a forward, an adaptable one, but a forward. He will still get plenty of minutes for us and is an important player. In terms of the next game though, which is what the OP asked about, it would be Osvaldo up top.

Personally, I don't think Lambert in midfield would ever really work. Certainly wouldnt be better than JR, AL, SD or JWP in that area.

Very harsh. The Norwich game he was against Redmond who was on form, and was given no protection. He played well in the first few games and is a very good prospect. Re going forward, Shaw was conservative when he first came into the team, doubtless on the instructions of the Management team. Chambers is very capable in an attacking sense. People talk about Gallagher, Reed etc but Chambers is by far the best young player we have outside of JWP and Shaw.

Chambers is fine at RB, was great earlier in the season. Central defence if Fonte is out, and GK are far more of a concern.

Most fans just go to watch their team though, week after week no matter what League, Manager, Players or Chairman/Owner is involved. And most would rather watch this team in the PL than a L1/2 outfit owned by some Saints fans who cannot separate self interest from the development of the club. Surely? You hear all these whispers of discontent, yet I don't know any Saints fans who are anything apart from loving the last couple of years. For once we have an identity that isn't being patronised.
