Definitely need a defensive CM. Wonder if they will just stick with Fox for LB cover. Seems that way at the moment, we haven't really been linked to any LBs and would have to get rid of Fox or would be pointless

Calum Chambers is highly rated, Eng U19 player. Used to be a midfielder but has switched to RB and could be cover to Clyne perhaps this season. Jordan Turnbull is a good CB also in the Eng U19s with Chambers.

Not sure. An ITK on Cardiff forum says he hasnt signed but they are very confident they will sign him.

Last couple of days both Schneiderlin and Lambert have mentioned new players arriving. It will happen, the players are relaxed about it. Not a lot of big business done yet.

Encouraging signs. Controlled and progressive passion. Also pleased we have kept the squad largely elite by binning off the hangers on ie de Ridder, Lee, Sharp.

Yeah interesting no Sharp, de Ridder, Hammond, Chaplow etc. no point kidding them I guess.

No. Just that Im sure the coaches will be doing some passion drills in pre season to input passion to the players. Our coaching setup looks strong to me.

If players like Chappy are going to be loaned out for the season (like Hammy & Sharpy last season and possibly this) it is interesting. Cortese is very generous with wages and I doubt most Champ clubs can match what those players are on at Saints, hence them wanting to go on loan rather than give up their contract with a full transfer (which would suit us more).

Like we did for Phillips! Also - if Cardiff are paying it then they are obvious not shy of spending....

Interesting to hear that Fitness Coach Nick Harvey said Jay Rod impressed him the most in the fitness tests and is a supreme athlete. With a little more confidence in front of goal he could be a superb player. Prototype build for a striker: Quick, lean, tall, enough strength but not too much to ruin agility - only 23 as well.

He wouldn't move to be a backup, and we have Calum Chambers too. No point blocking his path.

Man City away was just the kind of bombardment that happens from good teams, likewise Man Utd home which was also poor tactics by NA. Stoke away was poor tactics from NA sitting back too much and changing to a back 5 against a team that like to pin you back. Wigan away was poor concentration, but hardly fitness as the goal we scored 5 mins earlier on the counter attack was a demonstration of excellent fitness and stamina. Spurs away was a freak.
