Very, very unlikely that Schneiderlin will be sold. Plus, Im not sure those rumours were ever in the Spanish press, seemed made up on Twitter by some 12 year old UEFA agent to me.

More I see of Banega the more I want us to sign him. Could be our Modric/Mata player.

There are lots of different types of striker who score goals. Open your eyes a bit, look at the strikers we clearly want, what type of player they are, what system they play in, how we play etc and then you will work out why we don't want Hooper. Clue: we want someone who plays up front on their own, has a physical presence and can create chances for themselves.

We aren't looking for the type of player Hooper is.

Would imagine it went something like this: We had other high class CB targets ie Astori but couldnt agree deals for them (nobody likes letting good players go mid season and players wouldn't be overly keen on joining a club who could have got relegated unless you pay ludicrous wages). We knew we needed as CB as it was our weakest area, and got Forren who had a good reputation and was available for a good price. Once he started with us, the staff weren't overly impressed with him (PL is a tough, unforgiving league) and he just wasn't up to it.

Certainly need another CB now...Hooiveld not up to the level we want to be at and not sure Fonte is near that either.
