http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/10461969._/ Niall Mason - joins up with the Academy from July. Good to see the scouting network is still casting the net wide in the UK.
-
I think he means those fullbacks, Gamez and this Italian guy, might be comfortable playing as a third CB as well as a wing back/full back.
-
Linked with Ahmed El Mohamady now.

Ramirez, his first season, how good has he been?
Saint Charlie replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
Ramirez is a clear 6/10. When he picked up that dead leg and was out for a month it was a big loss because his early form was excellent. Overall 5 goals in 20 starts for a midfielder is decent. A full preseason and knowing the demands of the Prem should see him kick on next season. -
Agree. Plus full back cover too.
-
Not so sure. We were ruthless with Lloyd James after a solid season out of position.
-
Maik Taylor would be ideal backup.
-
Interesting to relook at this thread, we did have a lot of options. A few will have been proven wrong re Schneiderlin. De Ridder was never anywhere near Chamberlain though and never will be. Such a disappointment. Imagine how good we would have been if AOC had stayed though?
-
Was a good moment that.
-
This. If Boruc picked up a semi serious injury then we would be in trouble. Plus he has no genuine competition.
-
Would say its not a major priority but equally would not surprise me as both our back ups to Boruc are liabilities.
-
No, he has a history of this kind of wummery.
-
Over the hill but maybe a good shout as a coach IMO.
-
I didn't vote. But if I had it would have been a "no". Pal. Follow me around though, would be fun.

Source please Brett?

Alas, Suarez is thought to want to showcase his bite at the top level. Chaplow is less picky.
-
No. His game isnt about bite. Chaplow's bite is lauded across the lower divisions. Anyone looking for bite this summer will have been onto his agent.
-
Much better than Chaplow. Poor injury record though.

How far are we off a Top 6 place (fifth or sixth in all reality)?
Saint Charlie replied to notnowcato's topic in The Saints
The Everton argument is silly because they are not going to be top 6 next season and striker is their weakest position. -
No, Buckley is miles better than Holmes ever was and has some great attributes. I live in Brighton and they raved about him early in the season, was their most influential player. He does pick up a lot of strains though - maybe that can sorted, but on the other hand it could get worse. For me would be the only reason why not to sign him.
-
Would imagine so. I don't think he would really add to our squad.
-
4m would be a good price, but not really any higher. Would be suprised if this is true, he has struggled with injuries, especially hamstring injuries and for a player in his early 20's that would be a concern...
-
LOL, I wouldn't say superb. Solid pro and character who would add a bit of bite - like a better Chaplow.
-
Wonder if Saints are one of the clubs to have "sniffed" at Mr Hunt...should be in for this type IMO. Bargain. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11699/8742728/Transfer-news-Stephen-Hunt-claims-he-could-be-back-in-Premier-League-next-season EDIT: On second thoughts, he wouldnt be much better than Chaplow.

Probably in London.
