  1. That's definitely not Southampton FFS
  2. Agree but naive to think that just because a team has a Manager that they aren't talking to the Agent of another to see if they would potentially be interested. As I said, would be shocked if he left, but Im sure he is and will be coveted.
  3. Remember how Pochettino came here?
  4. You probably answered your own question. I doubt he will go now but if anything it shows the asset we have on our hands. Just the same way our players are linked away so will he be.
  5. Maybe some of the loons on here will realise how highly rated MP is soon...
  6. Docker Walker sounds class, wish I was old enough to have seen him boss a striker.
  7. If you read above it says "The delivery is the main problem IMO. Ramirez sometimes swings them in with pace." This is entirely true, our delivery has been poor all year as I said, but I have been at games where Ramirez took some excellent inswinging corners, but he isnt consistent enough and has taken some poor ones too. Lallana has been the worst corner taker this season by some distance IMO.
  8. As per the title. Who is the most thuggy player you have seen play for us plus a picture of said player. Terry Hurlock This man was an ANIMAL on the pitch.
  9. Not a bad idea. The delivery IMO is the main problem. Ramirez sometimes swings them in with pace and Davis is better than Lallana, whose delivery is terrible, no pace or whip on itl. Sadly, the best taker we have is Fox who obviously we don't want to be able to take them most games!
  10. RIP Ron. A true Saints legend.
  11. Was a link to Malouda in the Sunday Express. He has 80 caps for France and could definitely add some experience on a free transfer.
  12. It is Tony Pulis' initials too though. Doesn't mean I think any less of TP.
  13. Are you joking? Stoke's attacking set plays are reliant on good delivery (certainly been much better than ours) and then clever movement/blocking to get someone on the end of it. Likewise from defensive scenarios its about being well setup and not giving away cheap goals from free headers like Caldwell and Terry scored against us or cheap scrappy goal like Maloney's equaliser.
  14. He would be a defensive coach, work on set plays and instilling passion to the team. Plus - if you actually read what I said, I clearly said that I am not sure if he would like this role. However, it is very close to his family base and would keep him on the training ground of a PL club. As I also said, this would be a casual arrangement until he might find a suitable managerial job. I have no idea if he would be keen, but its an interesting idea seeing as our attacking and defending of set plays last year was poor.
  15. Its a role for a proper football man, not an Executive Suit.
  16. Next question is why not?
  17. Not sure, but coaching should target elements of weakness so no need to simply follow the crowds, we are an innovative club and could remove that part from his title if it offends anyone. Essentially TP as a defensive and set play coach, nothing wrong with that IMO.
  18. Simple concept: For all the good play this season, we struggled with a few things, namely: - Keeping clean sheets - Attacking and defending set plays - Passion (at times we were too passive) A Premier League Manager has become available who ticks all these boxes in Tony Pulis. We all know his teams play horrible football and were lucky not to go down, but Stoke did have some good attributes. I am NOT advocating Tony Pulis taking over as Manager, NOR suggesting that Pochettino (who I rate very highly) has done a bad job, or is not the man to take us up the league. What I AM suggesting, is that the Club considers employing him as a Set Piece/Passion Coach on a part time basis to help instill these qualities into our squad. His family is still based in Christchurch so it would be very easily logistically for him and would enable him to keep his hand in at PL level whilst waiting for a new opportunity - most likely in the CCC. We have been poor attacking and defending set plays for a while, and I think he could make a difference in this area. The goal Walters got at WH last season from a corner was probably the best corner routine of the whole season. Wigan away, Chelsea home demonstrate just three of the poor goals we gave away from these situations. Passion wise, his natural passion for the game and no-nonsense style would be an asset even if just in bi-weekly sessions to toughen the players up. MP has commented that we seemed mentally fatigued towards the end of the season and Pulis could help in this area. Not sure he would be interested in the role as a Coach, but worth a shout. Thoughts?
  19. Bizarre post. We aren't going to be interested in every good player that moves this summer.
  20. Can someone mock up a photo of Lamela, Astori and Jay Rod celebrating a goal in next season's black away kit with the Red Bull sponsor logo?
  21. Sharp is going to Accrington, he tweeted it the other day.
  22. Juan Mata, best midfield playmaker in the Prem last season is neither quick nor strong, just brilliant. It helps, but Lallana's main attribute holding him back is final ball/finishing not pace or strength IMO.
  23. I see Jermaine Easter has just signed for Millwall. Good signing that, he is a decent poacher who will outscore Sharp next season IMO.
  24. Lets just remember that the much maligned Daniel Fox has Zaha in his pocket at Selhurst last season, and he did nothing in the home game either. Good player yes but nothing special thus far. Wouldn' be fussed about having him on loan at all. Ince the better of the two.
