According to Twitter Gaston has had his leg "racked and stacked" by the medical staff whatever that means?
-
The player in the last photo doesnt match the gear Jos or JR have on in earlier pics but it does look more like Jos.
-
Puncheon was in the video from training yesterday.
-
Fonte is also training which is good. Gaston is a miss because his home form has been excellent. Hopefully with a two week break he will be ok.

Cortese and Le Tissier arrange meeting
Saint Charlie replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Theres a suprising Q and A with MLT on the Sun website. Suprising in that he doesnt mention Cortese once...obviously learning. -
If I was picking I would go with: -----------------------Boruc------------------ Clyne---------Yoshida-------Forren (Jos)-------Shaw ---------------Cork-----------Morgan-------------- ----------------------Lallana--------------------------- Ramirez-----------------------------------Rodriguez ----------------------Lambert------------------------- If Ramirez is out then Puncheon in. Davis unlucky but at home we need to attack and play our best players. Plus subs have a key role.
-
Nice WUM. its quite hard to pick a starting team really with AL back fit. If Shaw and Clyne play then back four is settled aside from the Hooiveld situation. Midfield and up front is tough though - Davis has made a big impact as a sub recently as has Lallana. Lambert a def starter but JR had his best game vs Wigan and Ramirez at home has been very good. Better choices than a few weeks back anyway.
-
To be fair when he started vs Sunderland he was ok too, it was just a poor team performance. He is certainly worth having. With Ramirez too we would probably start seeing the real benefit next season, like happened with Mata and Silva who also needed time to settle and get used to English footy. It has been very stop start for Mayuka, but we have a decent run now til end of the season for him to get involved in.
-
Where?
-
Still think he could play a part. With pacy players like him it is as much the teammates that need to release the ball early as anything. Great option to have on the bench.
-
Yeah Shaw, if he can't play this week, mustn't be too bad. Fonte was with the main huddle but couldnt see ramirez anywhere on that video.
-
After our recent good performances I wish we had something like West Ham at home. Just have to hope the other results are kind and give our game a good go and see what happens. Once Newc away is done we do have a decent little spell coming up.

Cortese and Le Tissier arrange meeting
Saint Charlie replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
FAO Matthew Le Tissier (the poster) what exactly will 'come out' in the court case? Anything that will detract from Cortese's ability to do the job he is currently doing well?? Or some kind of personal situation with Benali which is basically their own business? I am a fan of the club and Cortese is leading it well. Im not bothered about a rent dispute between two people I dont personally 'know'. -
If we didnt vote in favour I would be suprised because NC always refers to the fact he wants us to be sustainable.
-
From Pochettino's presser and the Saints Player training videos I would say Shaw will be out but Clyne fit as he was training.
-
Cheers. Villa are just a mess.
-
First QPR, second Wigan?
-
Why would Villa or WBA vote against?
-
None of the goals at WH can be directly attributed to him though. He clearly just needed a run of games and the Chaps in the Chapel put paid to that.
-
Threw a water bottle in frustration at conceding a goal and being goaded for it by a bunch of wallies.

Cortese and Le Tissier arrange meeting

Advertised as this: Probably ill advised and now has caused more damage than done good. I assume the Echo were there to capture all the comments too which didnt help. Shame really but still MLT should have handled the inevitable questions with more dignity and class, in which case there would be no problem and this evening would have passed on successfully. -
I have said many times and created a thread about it: If the Chapel sweaties hadnt moaned at Boruc and incited that incident we would have 4 more points (the gazza gaffe's vs Swansea and Norwich). If we go down they will be equally as much to blame as any other individual or group.

Cortese and Le Tissier arrange meeting
Saint Charlie replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
He is just one example and happens to be our greatest ever player. There are plenty of ex player and even fans that don't like the restricted access they now have. They should probably just enjoy successive promotions and having a good young team and some ambitious leadership....but they can't really let it go and resent the new regime for it. MLT has acted poorly, but if he is doing a Q & A it was pretty obvious those questions would crop up. He should have been prepared and dignified. -

To be fair its a fairly easy argument to agree with because there is a lot of logic in it. -

The days of meal tickets being handed out like confetti at SFC are over. What is clear is that there are agendas throughout the SFC fanbase, and many have had their nose put out of joint since the takeover. For a 'regime' that acheived back to back promotions and significantly improved the infrastucture of the club they do seem to offend a fair few fans. IMO some of these fans would only be happy if they were positioned in the corridors of power at SMS, or at least maintained their line into it.
