Clearly won't feature vs Leicester. Doesn't matter too much as the cup game a great chance to bed him in.

Exactly- we are in a position where we have good players, and shock - it costs money to get players better than what we have, particularly strikers.

And none of them are good enough for the Prem. Not sure Fontaine is any better than Martin, nor Maynard than Guly or Connolly.

Hooper

Rhodes is flavour of the month but Hooper has scored at a higher level, including the level we find ourselves at now! Plus I think Hooper has more pace, and Rhodes might be a little similar to Lambert.

Hooper is class, and Prem teams have been looking at him. Whenever Ive seen him his work rate has been top notch and he is a great finisher. Pop over to a Celtic Forum and see what they think of him...

Adkins clearly had a determination to get Hooper from his interview after Saturdays game. We are still in the chase for him. I dont think his or Lennon's comments mean a lot other that Celtic are taking our interest very seriously....

Its probably not Lee's fault though is it, these things just take a silly amount of time!

Woulder take Hooper over Rhodes personally but happy with either of course!

Bit of a silly question. Any player who has potential and desire to improve....there are loads, thats what our scouting department will do!

One or two is fine. Their own purpose is to play well, learn and improve. The problem is when you rely on them like some teams do ie Doncaster. But Borini did no harm for Swansea last season, nor Pacheco at Norwich! Im sure NA picks the right characters as we seem to have a good team spirit and that can also be harmed with permanent transfers. We have no prima donas!

Of what? Hungry players? Lambert, Hammond, Cork, Hooiveld...Falque, Hooper, Rodriguez...still have more to achieve and on the up Waste of money has beens - Bowyer, Konchesky, Chopra, Carew... Norwich or Swansea left those types well alone and Im glad we have!

Yeah if we did go for him he has a bloody impressive goal record. His goals per minute must be right up there with Rhodes and in a far worse team!

The reason we have done well the passed 2 years is because we havent relied on has beens like Kilgallon and Ebanks Blake. Leave them for Ipswich and Leicester. We will be after more hungry players keen to prove themselves.

Harry doesn't care, he just wants his player to get a good standard of football somewhere that suits the player. This way his player improves which is all he is bothered about, and rightly so.
