Well, you always know best so I must bow to your superior intelligence but I would class AA as more of an inside forward than a wide man. If he was a wide man helping out his full back regularly then his return of 24 goals is even more impressive yet many want to sell him potentially to one of our rivals.

Yes, as a striker. A striker for me is a player who plays up front and scores regularly. I get that AA didn't get his goals from playing through the middle but, for me, he is a striker. I guess it is down to interpretation of the word striker.

Not sure why a few are putting Ballard's name forward. He showed very little out on loan to lower league clubs. He's been around long enough and not proved himself so is probably not up to the level required to break through.

Looks neat and tidy if not spectacular but then he is clearly raw, in need of refinement and has much to learn. Don't think he'll come in and hit the ground running and would expect him to be more of a slow burner. He's certainly busy and I like that he is always on the move after making a pass which is an encouraging sign. Not one who gives me a feeling of real excitement but hoping he'll turn out to surprise us in a good way.

Assuming Ramsdale goes we will need a new number one goalkeeper as Gav and AM are not good enough if we are expecting to mount a promotion challenge. Can't afford to carry a weak keeper as will cost too many points.

Not sure why he would be similar to Mara although I get the worry that he could turn out to be as disappointing. As others have said Poch rates him so I'm hopeful he will come here and thrive.

I think Sunderland are looking at signing a new keeper and, if they do, Patterson is thought very unlikely to stay and play second fiddle. Patterson is an excellent keeper so would be a good replacement if Ramsdale leaves.

Not a fan but, as with any Saints shirt, it's let down by the naff club badge which is long in need of modernisation - just my opinion of course 🙂

Assuming Ramsdale goes would be very happy with this guy as his replacement. We must not rely on Baz or McCarthy.
