You talk as though everyone is calling for the manager's head when, in fact, it's a very small percentage.
-
Yet they've scored 2 from 20% possession. Maybe we pass the ball too much and with little purpose.
-
Yeah, 2 silly mistakes cost 2 goals against a side that have had very little possession. Sounds worrying to me...imagine if they have a little bit more of the ball.
-
If at all.
-
Better position than us.
-
No, as in Catch Phrase it's a case of 'say what you see'.
-
Have we been rumbled?
-
Two goals conceded again in the first half. This is just not good enough and we are making it tough for ourselves even against opposition as poor as these.
-
Baz to make amends?
-
That's better. Now put them to the sword in the final minutes before the break.
-
11% possession and they score!
-
Downes is in the training pictures from yesterday so can't be far off.

Leeds could and should have lost 4-1. Leicester battered them and they were not actually very good but got lucky with the offside goal that wasn't plus poor finishing from Leicester.
-
Not to forget Leicester absolutely battered and outclassed them but missed multiple good chances and were denied a perfectly good goal which would have put them two up. Yeah, other than that Leeds were a credit.
-
Yeah, for the last ten minutes when they undeservedly found they'd won the match with two fluke goals. Didn't hear so much when Leicester were ripping them to shreds.
-
Leicester partly robbed and partly shot themselves in the foot. Cheated out of a legitimate second goal and missed gilt edged chances. Leeds totally outclassed for 80% of the match but they won't care with 3 points gifted to them. Thought Leicester made the wrong substitutions as they looked poor when Mavididi went off.

He could learn a lot from Mane. Maybe he needs to watch some clips of him in action because he has similar attributes in pace and upper body strength.
-
Unfortunately, like many fast players, his feet are far too quick for his brain. He needs to learn when to turn on the afterburners and when to ease off on the throttle. Do that and I think he'll become a much better player. He is trying to do everything at 100mph and he doesn't need to.

Hull give every team a blueprint to beat us?

So presumably you don't think RM could have started with a better midfield 3 than Smallbone, Rothwell and Stu Armstrong? I doubt many would agree with you and probably not even RM in hindsight. -
If I'm honest I can probably live without the weekly disappointments of being a struggling side in the Premier league. I get that we'll lose a lot of players and go through another rebuilding stage but is that worse than the constant losses we'll face if we get promoted? At least in the Championship you get the chance to build a side and nurture some young prospects and hopefully win some games regularly. As long as we don't drop any lower (which I guess is the danger) I'm happy to bob along in the Championship for a few more seasons and see if we can build a side with more chance to hold our own if and when we eventually reach the 'promised land'. Not in any particular rush to become cannon fodder for the big boys again and put up with VAR. It's kind of catch-22 because the aim is obviously to get promotion but maybe it's a case of 'be careful what you wish for'. Look at Burnley and Sheff Utd as examples. Don't expect to be overly gutted if we miss out this season but maybe the realty will be different. It's going to be an exciting run-in that's for sure.

I hadn't bargained for last night's crazy team selection - don't think anyone other than RM would have.
-
Picking the right team will help towards that.
-
To be fair to Stu I think he looked bad because of the starting line up and what he had been asked to do. I've never seen him in that role before - at times in the shambolic first half he was almost playing as an auxiliary centre forward and, not surprisingly, looked like a fish out of water.
-
In the first half we clearly couldn't get to grips with their aggressive press. We continually tried to pass it around at the back - it was a case of ever decreasing circles and time after time a player had no options and had to pass back to Baz who then had no option other than a hopeful punt forward. We should not be painting ourselves into a corner like that. RM should have spotted this very early and made changes/adjustments - that is a big part of his remit as a coach and, if he is not capable of pro-action, he has a huge gap in his CV.
-
That doesn't excuse the team selection. None of the players who came on looked as though they wouldn't have done a job from the start.
