I'm really pleased for AA. He came here as a prolific goalscorer but we chose to play him in systems that were never designed to get the best out of him nor present him with many goal scoring chances. Not surprisingly he got a lot of stick and his confidence took a knock as it would anyone. He's never given in or hidden away so he deserves this change of fortune and long may it continue. RM believes in him and is being repaid for that so far.

Yes and when we say 17 his birthday was very recently so 16 and a few days. Frightening prospect.
-
Boro losing again and at home as well.
-
Yes, forgot that important contribution from him.
-
Not his greatest fan but nobody could fault him today. He dealt well with some testing crosses in the final few minute so fair play to him.
-
Hard to deny he was poor today. Hopefully he'll improve because he wasn't good enough today.

This boy is going to develop into some player. Such confidence and he's a real box of tricks. I'd have no worries about starting him but probably better coming off the bench at the moment. He won't be with us for the long haul but I'm sure, when he moves on to bigger things, we'll get a massive transfer fee for him. Love watching him.

Maybe some who accused those of us who called it how it was of being bed wetter etc will take more notice of RM's view.

To be fair we were very poor in the first half and you can only judge what you've seen. Second half we upped the tempo, were braver on the ball and ran out worthy winners. Hindsight is the easiest sight of all.
-
Yes but Manning isn't one of them.
-
Much better second half with more intent. Deserved the 3 points overall which is a great achievement given the mifield we had to pick from. Charles really impressed me as did Adam Armstrong. Poachers goal from Che and Baz did what was needed when Plymouth loaded in a few late crosses. We need some bodies in and, if the right ones come in, we'll be a force to be reckoned with. Still too much walking football - we aren't 50 year olds so need to cut that out.

Manning is shite - rather see Perraud.
-
Defenders ball watching as usual.
-
Same old Saints I'm afraid.
-
That's better, move it quicky and that's what happens. Good finish.
-
Plus 3 or 4 others.

Predict we'll see Plymouth come surging out of the blocks and put us to the sword- their manager will have seen there's nothing to fear here. We need to change and not just a little.

Surely the reason for a passing game is to draw the opponent out and exploit the spaces created. We seem to just pass for the sake of it with no purpose or end product so everything just fizzles out. It has to be much quicker and we need players getting in between the lines. It aint rocket science.

Very poor half from us. Don't understand all this walking football, we need far more zip and we're making it easy for them to defend against us. They look far more dangerous in the transition and we'll pay if we aren't careful. Edozie has offered nothing so I'd like to see Amo brought on sooner than later. If we don't up the tempo this will probably end in a one nil defeat from a mistake by us. Charles has looked good for his age and got through some great work.

Picked up an injury at the open day training session in the week.

Did anyone ever know what the black box was?
-
Agree, it's far more complex than just assuming that other clubs haven't managed to be sustainable. That only rings true if every club is doing exactly the same thing.
-
Probably but not for us 🙂

Charles is certainly a prospect but at his age and with his limited experience do we think he's going to be more effective than Plymouth's midfielders? I'm not sure and he is our only real defensive cover in the middle. That is the area that worries me today. Hope it turns out different.

He needs to stop spreading gossip, focus on his job, pull down the shutters and see the bigger picture - if not he should go and lie down in a dark room.
