I couldn't give a fig about today's goals - this guy is not good enough to be our number one keeper if we are serious about promotion. If you think he is well, let's see how he pans out over the next couple of months.
-
He's the most unlucky keeper in the world. Every effort on goal he faces is unstoppable.
-
But any manager/coach worth their salt would look at videos of Baz and draw the conclusion that he simply isn't anywhere near ready to be trusted as our number one keeper. Instead of buying a decent first choice to replace him we added Lumley to the list of incompetents. It's ridiculous for a club that claims to want to get back into the Prem at the first time of asking.
-
But his stats last season were the worst in pretty much the whole world. Why does anyone think he'll do any better this year? He cannot do the basic requirement which is to save the ball from going in our net. We need a keeper who will make brilliant saves - all of the reasonably competent ones do so but Baz doesn't. It's not all at his door because he has some terrible defenders in front of him What an absolute shit show. Jason Wilcocks is going to be very busy once we have the funds from JWP and Lavia.

He lacks them but he gives them out.

Stephens never marks anyone. Never has.
-
Has Baz saved one yet? Another header. Painful.
-
Anyone take the draw if offered now?
-
Gonna concede a shed load of headed goals.
-
Lots for RM to learn here. Hope he has a thick notepad.
-
Pulled our pants down that's for sure.
-
Has Baz saved a shot this season? Asking for a friend.
-
It's often the case - Jack Stephens never marks anyone and he's our captain!
-
Think Smallbone will need to earn his corn today - he'll miss having JWP alongside him. It will be very interesting to see how the midfield performs.
-
Not sure he's the weaker of the two keeper on view today. Prove me wrong Baz.
-
The majority of the players who excelled against Gillingham 🙂
-
How about Mason Burstow?
-
I guess there might be a fringe player who Poch would be happy to loan us to aid his development. Not heard anything mentioned yet though.
-
Looking at the two line-ups a battering could be on the cards but Burnley will probably put up a spirited resistance and keep the scoreline respectable.
-
You may well have a point about AA not being able to use his pace effectively but he did use it pretty well the last time he played at this level. Maybe tactics have changed?
-
If we sign Grimes we will go long at times because that is one of his main attributes - he was pinging plenty of long balls under RM with pinpoint accuracy.
-
Plus any centre forward we sign must be able to help out when we defend corners and free kicks - we need to introduce more players who can assist the defence.
