Is that through the transfer window?
-
Knew you'd not let me down. I will await the very good news with relish - may not sleep tonight with the excitement 🙂
-
Blimey, I've just waded through today's post, knowing that JWP has been sold, yet nothing about incomings from those in the Circle of Trust. Are their contacts letting them down?
-
Grimes is as far removed from JWP as you could get - have you seen the 40-50 yard passes he pings and nearly all of them right on the money? Totally different skill set.
-
Have we now reached the stage where players we haven't even signed are going to leave a huge gap? We're in more of a mess than I thought.
-
I wouldn't call it a dramatic melt down although admittedly some have gone over the top. In general comments are fair and reflect what fans thought of last night's performance. There was very little to feel pleased about so naturally people will vent their frustrations and disappointment as would supporters at any club. Nobody likes losing to a team a couple of divisions below them and I'm sure RM will have woken up this morning and felt he could have managed this game far better.

Spot on about the need for more height and power. When is someone in charge going to recognise this obvious weakness? Start buying some six foot plus players instead of all these short arses.
-
Exactly yet we never seem to appreciate that you have to build a squad with enough height and physicality to compete. Still too many small, weak players in the squad. Get some big athletes in midfield and up front or we'll struggle and get bullied out of games.
-
The slight fly in this ointment is, if you throw eleven hopefuls together it is almost certain few of them will perform so you won't really learn much. Chucking together a patchwork team and expecting to see enough of them shine is a nonsense and not really fair on anybody. He'd have been better off blending a few hopefuls in rather than that car crash he presided over though I'm not suggesting it was all his fault. I'd rather start strong, get the game won then take players off. Sure, you risk an injury to someone key but you can't wrap players up in cotton wool all the time.

Sounds as though Lumley has already got the number 2 keeper spot. How long before he becomes our number one? It's a big worry going forward.
-
You missed out Mara who I understand Martin glaringly says of, 'you don't train one way and play another'. Apologies if I've got that wrong as perhaps it wasn't aimed specifically at Mara.
-
That explains it!

Which clown decided it was a good idea to give Djenepo a new 3 year contract last September?
-
Looks like he needs a bell in the ball from that photo.
-
I guess we'll learn a lot about RM and his team on Saturday.
-
No mention of shouldering some of the blame himself? Maybe he said it and Adam didn't report it in this snippet. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because he certainly bears some responsibility.
-
It gave Gillingham the chance to try out 5 of their second squad and find out they are actually quite good players.
-
Oops!
-
Out of interest do we know whether Gillingham played a full strength side? I sincerely hope they did.
-
I think he probably already knew - his mistake was picking so many of them tonight.
-
On Friday our stock was rising, now it's being laughed at.
-
Which is why we should have signed a new number one keeper instead of bloody Lumley - bad mistake.
-
He certainly won't be on the pitch giving the three chest thumps a la Klopp 🙂
-
He needs to have more respect for the fans especially those who travelled, I refuse to believe he doesn't care - if that is the case it's a terrible attitude so I'm giving him the benefit of doubt on this one - I think he's caught a massive cold and hopefully will learn from it. Travelling fans especially have been hung out to dry after shelling out good money and going in good faith.
-
Martin does need to own most of this. A narrow loss could have been accepted but this is a humiliation and will do a lot of damage to morale and confidence. I fear he has gravely underestimated the opposition so that's a mark against his name very early in his tenure I'm afraid.
