  1. Well at this stage nobody seems to know if he's going so why would he wave goodbye 🙂
  2. Maybe we're going to play with a false 9 - it's all the rage apparently, very derigour.
  3. They're possibly trying to attract a higher bid. Presume though they have agreed a bid it is not set in stone so in theory we could be gazumped. Just guessing so probably way off the mark.
  4. They cheated fairplay rules by burying their finances in claims that covid cost them far more than any other club.
  5. Agree about the ridiculous offside issues. If a player is clearly offside then the touchline assistant should be perfectly entitled to raise his flag immediately. They are having their decision making taken away from them because of VAR which is nonsense. Which is better, leave the flag down and risk the attacking side scoring a goal which will inevitably be ruled out by VAR causing a needless delay and disappointment to team and fans of the scoring team or making the correct call, raising the flag, taking a free kick and getting on with the game? We now have one of our most important players sidelined and it was as a direct result of this ridiculous directive. OK, leave the flag down if there is an element of doubt but officials are copping out knowing that if they get it wrong VAR will bail them out. This is surely not why VAR was introduced.
  6. Which one though?
  7. Think our own powerhouse ABK will have him in his pocket 🙂
  8. Agree. Any player we sign who excels is ever only going to be with us for a couple of years. The big boys are always watching and looking at clubs like us because they know we turn over these gems from time to time. We can only appreciate watching them play for us and wish them well when they inevitably move on to big clubs. Better than buying a bunch of journeymen who are only looking for their last big pay deal. These youngsters are hungry to see what they can do and they generate a great team spirit and camaraderie in the camp which is already clear to see. Like all of us I'm loving what I'm seeing and putting one over on the London posh boys and their super arrogant fans last night was pure magic.
  9. Would take a point but no reason this team can't beat them. Lavia will be a huge miss though.
  10. I don't doubt that, I was commenting on how I see him as a footballer.
  11. Or, 'there's only one team gonna win this Adam'
  12. Have always thought he's a bit of a fancy dan - a poser footballer if you will, all shit and no substance. Much over-rated for me.
  13. I was only nervous in terms of the chance that Chelsea might fluke an equaliser which would not have been deserved. It was the concern that a hard earned 3 points would become just a single point due to a lucky bounce. A draw would have flattered Chelsea.
  14. He's a clucking genius....could become our best layer.
  15. Bare bones innit!
  16. Diallo played very well tonight. Went about his work very professionally and had a big hand in our winning goal. A good option to have in the squad and is sure to get plenty of game time.
  17. Said on the ABK thread that he actually comes across as the senior player in his partnership with Salisu - how good will these two be together after a dozen games. I think they have the potential to become one of the strongest centre back pairings in the league.
  18. Loved the way he whipped the crowd up late on after blocking another attack. Our penalty area is a different place with him around - he just doesn't look as though he has a mistake in him though he's bound to make a few. It's almost as if he is the more senior partner to Salisu which is a credit to him. Who knows what he'll go for when we sell him if he continues on his current trajectory. The young lads around the place seem to have reignited the team spirit which was sadly lacking towards the end of last season. Very happy with what I am seeing so far and honestly didn't see us getting more than maybe 3 points from those tough 5 opening fixtures.
  19. Not sure I'd swap him for VVD!
  20. Outstanding, every man jack of them fought with everything they had and there was plenty of skill to go with the effort. Could have been more as Chelsea rode their luck. 7 points from 5 tough games with this young side is fantastic. Special shout out again to ABK, what a star this boy is and Salisu alongside him make a strong partnership. Thought Che ran his socks off. Hope Lavia is ok because he was immense again and what a goal. Well done Saints, Ralph and the coaches - we never beat Chelsea at home but we did tonight and deservedly so.
  21. Farking Chelsea cheats. Disgraceful.
  22. Armstrong's ok 🙂
  23. Laviaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  24. Perraud looks well short of fitness. Just watched Sterling and let him run.
  25. Think Djenepo is a bit unlucky to be benched - would have rather him play than Moi if I'm honest. However,I'm sure we'll see him on the pitch at some stage in the second half.
