Of course they'd welcome him back - all mates together and as many days off training as they want. What's not to like. Not sure the majority of the fan base would be too happy though.

Pity the next poor sod who has to try to get a tune out of our squad of failures and bottle jobs. Most of them need to take a long look in the mirror.

Trollope and Lallana should be gone as well - clean sweep needed with no remnants of coaches who have clearly failed as much as Will Still. He shouldn't be the scapegoat when others were also culpable.

Trollope who assisted the guy they've just sacked. You really couldn't make it up.

Yeah, whilst those doing the hiring and the firing are still here and taking absolutely no responsibility we just sit back and await the next disaster. Can't help feeling a little bit sorry for Will Still and the next cannon fodder who takes his place. SR should go as well but we know that can't and won't happen now but it is inevitable that they'll have to go eventually unless we want no football club to support.

Nah, just Rasmus thinking he's clever when he most certainly isn't.
-
You could add well informed, intelligent, shrewd, clever, smart, astute and self aware to the traits not associated with them plus many more.
-
To be fair it's a dressing room well worth losing. Weak as piss with zero fight or pride in what they are doing.
-
Spors maybe not so much but SR have been a failure since pretty much day one so whether they admit it to themselves or not they have been catastrophic for us.

Also a fan of Steve Moran. The minute he appeared at the Dell as a youngster you could tell he had something about him and was destined to become a great striker for us. You can always tell straight away with young players such as Channon, Williams and Le Tiss. It's been a while since a youngster last made his debut for us and gave the vibe that he was someone special. Dibling didn't do it and is still trying to kick start things at Everton but I have doubts about him.

It's the new Moneyball.

Unless you have two decent wing backs who understand the role and have the speed and stamina required to play the position it's always going to mean a lot of pointless side and back passes. Reason being the two wing backs become standard full backs alongside 3 centre backs. This dilutes the team's ability to get the ball forward in numbers at speed so we get this continual walking football and negative passing. That's down to Still because he is the one who continues to persist with 3 centre backs. This system also negates our ability to press high up the pitch and win turn overs in advanced positions. You simply can't operate a press if most of the side are constantly playing in their own half.
-
I'm not only talking about height - the players you list are all fairly weak in upper body strength and easily knocked off the ball. Come on, you can't seriously call Downs a physical player. He may be 6'4 but that doesn't matter because he has zero physical power. Just watched Liverpool Villa and there were real big, strong athletes in both teams all over the pitch not just at centre back. We must start to address this or we'll continue not to compete.

SR deserve to lose a generation of supporters and more and that's what they'll do unless something is done to remove them from our club. Even seasoned fans have had enough so why would anyone expect youngsters to follow this shit show of a football club. There is absolutely nothing to like about the club right now and the future looks bleak with these idiots in charge.
-
This is a major issue that continues to be overlooked.
-
What I cannot believe is the fact that Spors saw enough to decide that he'd be a good signing for us and that we paid any money for him.
-
We'll never rebuild successfully under SR.
-
It'll take more than a new manager to turn this floundering oil tanker around. The January window is about all that can save us from another relegation because this squad is completely disjointed and looks as though it's been assembled by people who have no clue about football - which is actually what it is. We need a minimum 4 good signings who can walk straight into the side in early January. Unfortunately that aint gonna happen and if it did the same idiots would be making the signings.
-
Unfortunately we are waiting for a decision to be made by Sports Fucking Republic and we know how incompetent they are.
-
Check his stats last season when playing for a Boro team utilising his talents. Chalk and cheese to what we're seeing.
-
3 centre backs anybody?
-
I was pointing out the reason why rather than disagreeing with you.
-
I get your point but that's putting the cart before the horse. Until SR are gone they will continue making the wrong decisions which will include appointing a replacement for Will Still. It's tantamount tp applying a sticking plaster when a triple bypass is needed.

It's very hard to press in numbers if you have 5 deep lying defenders (forget the fraudulent concept of wingbacks). With the keeper that is six players mainly operating in their own half so how do you operate a press with four players one of who has defensive duties as a midfielder? It's impossible.
