  1. He's no Diego Costa that's for sure 🙂

Agree and all 3 need to spend a period on the bench to let others have a go in their place.
  3. Agree, those are bare minimum requirements.
  4. Maybe someone needs to show him where the gym is at Staplewood so he can get on the weights to help give him the strength needed to play centre forward.
  5. The International break ended on 9th September. Whether we like it that didn't allow for a great deal of preparation or for integrating 5-6 new players into a new system. So they've not had anything like 3 weeks to pick it up and anyway new players invariably take time to settle not just at our club. The first game after the International break was on 14th September and being the big local derby against Pompey not exactly an ideal fixture because of all the noise surrounding it. We started ok against Hull but there is nothing Will Still can do if his keeper makes a schoolboy error other than drop Bazunu for the next run of games which I hope he does. THB then has a couple of brain farts and he's another who must now be dropped. The fragility of this side when going behind is well documented and remains a thorn in our side. There are extenuating circumstances for why we are not anything like the well oiled machine we'd like but I'm afraid, like it or not, it is going to take patience.

We also have to give the new signings time to settle in and find their feet. Most players take a number of games at a new club before settling and showing what they can do.
  7. This is my take as well. Will Still has to be given time to work with the new players and integrate them into a formation that works. If after perhaps a maximum of 10 more games he hasn't done that then fair enough it will be time to look for a replacement.

He's ex Man Utd and currently the head coach at Minnesota Utd so would probably fit the bill for the SR hipsters.
  9. But the new players haven't yet appeared in anything like 6 games which is the point some are making.
  10. Surprisingly his stats show he is 6'2" tall so not really that small.
  11. It's a low bar but too high for the short Gavin Bazunu.
  12. So he's like the kid at school who was no good as an outfield player so always got stuck in goal even though he was hopeless there as well.
  13. When one of the main voices at SR is snake oil's best ever salesman Rasmus Ankersen it is hardly surprising that they have made a complete hash of running our football team.
  14. Well of course they will make promotion their aim but I just think the rush to get back to PL at all costs is misplaced. I understand all the stuff about parachute payments and the risk of becoming a club that stagnates in the Championship over time but we are in total reset mode and need time to build something sustainable.

Can't be arsed to listen to the views of two Hull City fans for 58 minutes so I'll swerve this.
  16. We don't have to get promoted this season and it would probably be a blessing in disguise if we don't. The Premier league is great but you need to be ready for it. Maybe a 2-3 year plan to build a side and get there is a better bet for us - I'm not desperate to get back there immediately after last season's embarrassing debacle. Be careful what you wish for. Still may or may not prove to be a good manager for us but he should be given at least another 10 games and this clamour for an instant return to the big league isn't helping.
  17. Not excuses just pointing out genuine facts. How many players settle in at new clubs from their first game? Answer, very few and most take a number of games to get up to speed - we have 5-6 new players Will Still is trying to integrate into new systems. I'm not saying he'll definitely get it right but he needs to be given a reasonable amount of time.
  18. Yeah, all very obvious mistakes yet this bunch of charlatans never seem to learn a lesson.
  19. Think he might revert to 3 at the back with wing backs that don't get forward for this one.
  20. I think he's right footed but can play on the left?
  21. Lack of the awareness of danger and ball watching are just two of the worst faults that can rightly be levelled at Captain Jack. Even when he is not making glaring errors his all round game as a defender causes us lots of problems. High time he was binned along with the calamity that is Bazunu. Take this pair out and also THB after his performance yesterday and we'd probably be a lot more solid at the back - time Will started selecting our best players not those who have traditionally played...we are allowed to drop them and now is the time.
  22. I love the way Slot says 'Isaac has not trained much and McCallister has been missing, I could go on and on' He's got it really hard with such a small squad and so little quality 🙂
  23. Blimey, we're going back to lumping it long to the big guy up front - wonder what will happen to Russball when even his mate Pep is ditching playing out from the back. Lump it long, win the second ball and swarm forward in numbers is the way forward - shame we don't have a big strong centre forward at the club.
  24. One of our manager's will spot his glaring weaknesses soon surely.
  25. I don't see the desperation to make the play-offs never mind top two as we wouldn't be ready to try again in the PL and it would likely be another disastrous season ahead. To me we need a gradual reset and a little time to build a good side with good habits which is why I am prepared to give Will Still more time plus the new players also need time to find their feet which always happens when moving to new clubs - it's just not new team mates and new style of football it also involves relocating etc etc. However, if there are no signs of progress after another 10 games then questions will have to be asked and decisions made.
