Nah,they have to learn Russball-you know,giving the ball away constantly, being off the pace,playing very slowly etc etc. Once they've mastered that they mat get a chance.

I saw a guy on Sky suggest that the deal sheet may not be in before 1am tomorrow which I couldn't understand as they're still talking about Sterling signing for Arsenal which must be well behind our deal for Cornet.

Firmino is just shy of 6' but I take your point. I guess the issue for me is that we don't have anything remotely close to the level of those three or the players who were supplying them. I just think we need another option if the smaller guys up front are not scoring.

Liverpool also have the services of Gakpo and Nunez both over 6' tall to call on. We need someone like that though obviously we'd have to settle for the cheaper version.

Agree he can play up front through the middle as long as he receives the kind of service he received against Cardiff (and I get it was at a lower level than the Premier League). However, I think many of us would still like to see a bigger, more imposing number 9 as an alternative. Don't think it's likely to happen now.

Exactly this - I think Archer will find pockets of space for the type of pass that Fernandez found him with and equally, if the likes of Tyler or others make surging runs, Archer will get in the channels to open up chances

His first howler will come of course but we won't be expecting a number of mistakes in every game plus we'll see plenty of worldie saves mixed in with the more routine ones.

Archer will score goals if presented with the right service - his two finishes against Cardiff were top drawer and very clinical. Having said that I'd still like us to have the option of a taller more powerful centre forward in the squad although it's looking unlikely now.
