He's clearly a bit raw but I think he has a football brain the way he takes up positions between the lines and comes short to receive the ball. Might be one the coaches can polish. Like the fact that he is eager to get forward and was always very positive in possession tonight. It was great to see him drive forward and then not be afraid to back himself and unleash the shot for his goal tonight. Much to be encouraged about.

Never been given a proper run in the side. Would prefer if we keep him.

I thought the 3 centre backs tonight all looked better than Stephens or THB.

Regarding Downes he is having to do too much work on his own. He is the only one in midfield who puts a tackle in and harries opponents. Needs some help in the middle.

He is the one player who gets between the lines. Need to see more of him but promise shown tonight and a cracking goal.

Close the window, we need to keep these stars.
